:(

Expected mine to have been delivered for when I got home, not turned up though.

Heres hoping for some hot quest action tomorrow.

you know i dont think ive done anything mean or criminal yet. I used to love a good scrap with the gaurds in MW but they look a lot nails-er now, im too scared! plus i think they'll throw me out the fighters guild and i only just got in!

Does anyone know where the hell to get those rumare slaughterfish for the guy just outside imperial city? I've been swimming around for days!

In total contrast, I've decided to become a thief and have managed to join the Guild.

Casing up some poshbirds joint at the mo, gonna wait till she's asleep and nab a few items to flog on.

Ooops! Gotta go, just seen a shadow....

Dosent run that great on 7800GT - FX55 and 2gb ram, 1280x1024, its about 25fps by the look of it. Thats inside, i managed to kill one of my 7800Gt's, so im not too happy, i only bought the second for oblivion :(

That doesn't sound right to me mate. Here's my system:

A64 @ 2500
7800 GTX
2Gb RAM

At 1280x1024 with 4X AA and bloom on I get anywhere from 40 - 100 FPS indoors. (Usually around the 50 mark). Outside however the framerate drops noticably. It usually hovers around the 35-40 mark but in certain areas it dips as low as 25. This is usually only for a few seconds however and is hardly noticable.

Have you tried the coolbits trick for nVidia cards? It gives a lot of people 10-15 fps extra. See the Oblivion thread in the PC section for more details.

w00t! Mines here! Got a couple of hours to play it as I need an early night for a visit to france tommorows :/

Ultra... are you really getting single shot bow kills? I'm a level 3 wood elf and it takes about 4-5 arrows from a steel bow/steel arrow for me :(

yes m8, my elf-man has some pretty cool abilities, namely that his agility has gone sky high and is about 65 (agility governs arrow damage) couple that with a sneak sniper style kill (x3 damage while sneaking) and you have 1 shot kill. Shot is NOT area sensitive, i put 5 through one giys head, looked a bit ridiculous lol but i just blame magic ;)

Just reached the outside - wow, who says the graphics are disappointing?...fantastic more like

Totally engrossed in this, headin back now, but got a question or two...

Can sleep be initialised, if so how? - can't find anything in the manual on how to take a nap

Also, my hard drive is being delivered tomorrow, does using this improve anything for this game such as loading times?

i'm using a memory card atm, i've got a nasty feeling that my progress on there will not be transferable to the hard drive, is this true?

thanks

The only question out of those that I can really anwser is the third; You will definately be able to transfer the save games from your memory card :)

sorry dude, just noticed the reason from another thread you mentioned it in aswell, good idea though :)

edit 50 notes just to stop having to reach around the back of a monitor lol.

I also fix a lot of PC's for people, now I only have to connect a couple of cables without removing all of mine, very handy as I can swap between mine and theres by pressing a button.

Well you can press the Back button which initialises a 'Wait' which restores everything.
