The Oblivion 360 Thread

The character creation site seems to be up and down like the proverbial YoYo, so I've made a copy of it here if anyone is interested.

Hey! Nice bit of web programming there!

Ahh cheers!

Never thought of IMDB for looking the info up! I see Patrick Stewart is Emperor Uriel Septim VII too!

You've not got time to be checking the web, you've not been playing for at least 3 minutes ! Your 360 broken or something?

Dinner time and My Name Is Earl ;)

Is anyone having trouble actually doing the main quest? Everytime I go off to do the quest I come across another quest, or a dungeon... I've only dropped off the amulet and I've been playing for 14hrs

The occasional bugs and scaling thing is really annoying me though.

I think that's why the game is so big. I've been playing for over 100hrs now, and have just done my 125th quest, each quest brings out more and more, just can't believe the sheer scale of it!

christ this game is so proper class..

Previously Mafia was me fav. game, the sheer scale and ease of playability of oblivion surpasses it....amazin stuff :p

Getting a little miffed with the hangs now.

Started to go through the final Oblivion gates and it's hung over 10 times today. :(

*edit* and again - same place!

I've played for 28 hours and only dropped off the amulet. So much to do and so much cool stuff to find, this game is definitely worth the money.

I've had quite a few hangs too, where it suggests I clean the disk with a soft cloth, although just hitting ok restarts and things generally come back (for a while at least)...

Then other times it'll play flawlessly for 2 or 3 hours...weird.

Mines not hung yet, though the loading does seem to be getting longer and longer. Tried the cache thing and it didn't seem to make any difference.

I have had hangs in game + disc read errors, ive since laid the XBOX 360 flat and havent had a crash or read error since, admitadly i probably need to play a bit longer to verify this(so far so good though :) ).

Is that Sean Bean doing the voice for Brother Martin Septim?

in the credits, the big names are Patrick Stewart(Jean Luc Picard from Star Trek), Sean Bean(Sharpe/Boromir), Terance Stamp(Zod, bad guy from Superman 2) and Linda Carter(not sure, Wonder woman(?)).

For a 'the enemies level up with you so everything's balance' game, its strangely unbalanced. In the castle there are these big fat monster things that once they go for you - you die very quickly. There's one in this TINY room so there's no room to maneveur(sp?), a few hits and you have to leg it to have another bash later. 'oh he hit me, now I'm going to half fall while he hits me another 4 times with no chance to block (not that blocking has ever been successful against this guy' so I'm going to have 5 hp and hopefully get to the door in time'.

Funny thing is if I was under lvl10 it would be a lot easier :\

Update: Omg 4 attacks, with loads of down time (healing) for... some calipers in a large chest. Marvelous. They need to fix this looting / scaling thing, cause the rest of the game rocks :)

Aye, the leveling system jumps and jits about, when I first hit 15 suddenly the world was an entirely different place. I thought I had broken the game until I got to 17 and things evened out nicely.

Also, the enemies have some absolutely fantastic loot now, so although it does all feel a bit contrived, I can get over it since i've recently found some of the coolest items i've ever seen

This game has me hooked.

I've recently been granted the dark gift from a fellow assasin, and am now the ultimate night stalker. I've been compiling a list of every person who has been rude to me in the game - they are all going to beg before the end.
