The Oblivion 360 Thread

How do you clear the cache? Had a marathon session today and loading is distinctly slow now. Is it pressing down A when the console starts up? Or when the game starts up?

Finally got a horse too when i found cheap Paint horses for 500g. Supposed to be slow but i wouldn't know :o Seems fast to me!

Norty mage

I was looking for somewhere to rest in the mages guild house. First bed I came across had some bloke in it, then all of a sudden I hear 'What do you want?' behind me, swing around to see the leader of the guild house barge past. To my surprise she did this:

Get in there! :p

I can only assume everyone who shouldn't know, already knows because I couldn't blackmail her :\

I've only just hit flippin level 9 and have been playing it almost 3hrs a day & throughout the entire weekend! Love the game but it's not perfect by a mile.

Just come across a major bug on the fighters guild quest which stops me from advancing, and no one knows how to get around it. I can't see me getting rid of this game for sometime now.

I'm still not happy about how sparse and empty the world feels though. In morrowind there were creatures everywhere (almost) around the wilderness. Oblivion seems quite empty, and I can run around for hours and only bump into a deer, or a pesky wolf.

I'm abuot 12 hours in and just hit level 9. I don't seem to be levelling up, this being my first RPG I'm not entirely sure how I am supposed to !

I found that visiting those dreaded oblivion gates were a superb way of leveling up. Those demerera churls give out good loot and help your skills go up too. It does get quite boring there fast though. I'm quite slow at leveling in this game compared to morrowind, doesn't bother me at all though.

I'm a Redguard Knight :D

I've been playing for about 26 hours now and I'm only level 8, I played the game for about 6 hours before I managed to get to level 2. I've completed the dark brotherhood quests nearly done the fighters guild and I've started a bit of the thieves guild stuff, I should probably do some of the main quest at some point :p tbh though leveling up isn't something I spent too much time worrying about in the game I'm not bothered about ensuring I always get 5x multipliers and all that nonsense.

I've been having a few disk read errors whilst playing oblivion. I had 4 in the space of two hours. The xbox tells me to clean the disk and restart, the disk looks spotless and its been the only disk in the xbox since i bought the game.

had a few too, and a good few sound-loading related crashes. Bugs i geuss.

Just bought this yesterday.. on the condition that I finish Kameo first. And I almost have!

This purchase could be a big mistake.. I have a lot of work to do atm :p

Well, completed the main quest last night (admittedly I had the difficulty turned down a little as i'm a complete RPG wuss) and without giving anything away. The final scene looks damn impressive :D

Now to complete the fighters guild quests (already done the Dark Brotherhood) and after that I'll probably create a new character and start all over again :)

Heh I must be one of the 'odd man out' on this thread. I got it Saturday and played it for a couple of hours.

Its going back this week for Fight Night 3. I just didn't get on with it. I've seen the game further on (my m8's been playing it since release day) but didn't see anything that made me go wow I want to play to see/do that.

I've played online / offline RPGS before (WoW,Lingeage 2 ,Legend Of Mir, Neverwinter Nights etc) but just couldn't get into this at all. I had played the original Morrowind which bored me senseless so was hoping for more.

Still I've got battering people to look forward to once I swap it :) Back to burnout and GRAW.

I played it for the first time last night and I enjoyed it, even though I am still getting used to the number of keys etc.

I think it completely fragged my pc though as I didnt restart after the installation and windows refused to even get to the loading bar this morning and on a safe mode start under restore yesterday was listed as an installation of Direct X 9!!! Which I know was already working.

Oh joy, when i get home at 9pm tonight i have to go through all the chaff of making sure everything else is ok.

(PS I dont remember there being an optoin on the install regarding re-doing DX9 , on some recent games you get a little tick box - that i have previously cleared - but not so with oblvion?)

Edit -opppsss wrong Oblivion thread
