To be perfectly honest mate, I'm been a total lemming here, i.e., following you lot.

I've never played MorrowWind so I don't really know what to expect, but I do love the idea of exploring (sadly lacking in 99.9% of games today) and I'm prepared to give it the benefit of the doubt. The screenshots look gorgeous, I wasn't overly impressed when I first saw them, but seen it 'in action' rather than static screenshots, my view has changed.

So yeah, I'm 'excited' 'cos it's a new game to play, I'm sure is gonna last 5-6hours or so :rolleyes:, but I'm probably way way behind the 'fans' that a lot of you seem to be.
 
god my post makes me livid sometimes.. on the odd day it turns up at like 8am .. yesterday 9.00 .. today i'll probably get nothing.

If it was morrowind id have a ton of advice on how not to fall prey of "under 10 hour quitting" that being the fact that in morrowind, if you didnt play through about 10 hours of it, concentrating on main missions and sticking to the first town and its surrounding areas, you'd give up and never play again. But if you made it through those 10 you'd be hooked for life.

Trust me with simple rules (those that ironically bethesda dont put in the game to give freedom) i have made completely non gamers LOVE morrowind. Im not just talking non RPG players im talking full on non-gamers.

However i dont think this is necessary for oblivion. From what ive heard from non-rpg'ers and such that i know on MSN and Live! this one sucks you in from the start, in fact i havent heard from one of em at all since he started tellin me about how fun fighting rats was at the very start, and he used to talk to me every day!

I dont think you'll have any trouble enjoying this for at LEAST 60 hours play. Problem is that the game will want 200.....
 
Well the mrs would probably throw the 360 through the window if that happens lol.

I'm really tempted as it sounds so good, i'm just worried that my limited amount of time on the 360 will prevent me from getting anywhere in such a huge game.

sposed to be 360. Others have said they think it is similar. some have said it isnt. it may be an accidental trick of the light, screen glare affecting the image positively somehow etc

ok, moving away from boobies I was wondering what race would be a good one to choose for a beginner (my first elder scrolls game :P )

I like the look of the feline race and becoming a thief/sneaker but then again I dod also like the idea of heavy armour and ann ass-kickingly huge sword

any thoughts?
 
I may start again tbh, can anyone recomend a good race to use ? good magic and good figthing etc never played morrowind so aint got a clue.

mum said it came for me but she was dropping my sister at school so they left a not for collection....

the post office near me closes at 12 and both my parents are at work and im at uni

have to collect it tomorrow morning :(

I must say mine doesn't look like those screenshots in the above pics but still looks nice. I'm not outside yet and I'm already enjoying it, even though I've never played this type of game before.
