**The OcUK Benchmarks thread!**

The case I'm going for is in terms of volume probably around the same/similar to the ST10. Reeeeeaaalllly can't wait to get my hands on an XSPC H1+ Cube :D

My mrs is gonna freak out when she see's the size of it (which would be a first :().

Was thinking of doing the same :p

So thanks for taking a little work load off my hands :)

Same applies to all games at set resolution, soon as we have a fair few cards, I'll compile them all into a single chart for easier viewing.

Still need some 660Ti/670/580 scores too guys ;)

you seriously get 6fps more minimum than PGI @ 1325 on the same drivers? I am not questioning you, just making sure that is correct :)

Ltmatts above test is from an online bench, its entirely possible the benched points didn't see as much heavy action as you do with the exploding cars etc... in swordbreaker (what I used). My averages are near a good 10 fps higher.

Graph looks great.

If I get time later today I'll try do some online runs at 1325, need to stop falling asleep and re-mod my drivers for 120hz, back on the 'normal' bios on my card now too, so any stock benches will be done at 'ghz' speeds of 1070/1400.

Consistency is the reason we are using swordbreaker :)

It is a difficult game to bench though, such a shame we don't have a real benchmark suite for the Frostbite 2 engine.

Some games/benchmarks benefit more from a memory clock then a core clock, for example Heaven likes silly memory clocks while 3dmark11 likes large core clocks.

Will be updating as soon as i get to my machine today :)

Sorry again chaps, i was in the process of updating the thread and 12.11 has seemingly turned around and kicked me in the stones. Constant BSOD's even with them removed.

Maybe not, but I've just about ruled everything else out unfortunately, I found some other threads of people having the exact same issue but with a 7970m, some deep rooted ati sys files basically retarding the system - solution is to replace these files with the same files from 12.8.

Memtest86+ is currently ~75% through without any errors.

If it is, its just my luck with AMD drivers tbh, they like to troll me "oooh hey pgi, look at these nice performance increases, do it, do it, do it then after a few days we'll completely cripple your system for you" :p

Final solution is a complete windows re-install, which I don't want to do as I don't have a clue where my windows image is.

I see a distinct lack of 7950 benchmarks in the OP.
I'll have a go at BF3, Sleeping Dogs and F1 2012 stock and clocked if it helps :)

Legend thanks, I think there is some 7950 benchmarks yet to be added, but editing such a large post is a PITA on a 720 screen with a trackpad :p

very latest I'll be updating I would think would be wednesday as my bench table + fluid should be with my by then for rebuild.

Yup, I think we can all agree benching BF3 can be an absolute pain as everyone plays the game a little differently, we have an 'as good as' view at the moment.

Any results found to be in the spirit of performance boosting for competition just won't be added, its that simple :)

It looks to me the clear winner of 12.11 being released is 7870 owners, clock for clock with a 7970 they are only hovering around 15fps lower then a 7970 :)

I had a comment deleted in the 'gaming evolved' thread the other day for saying AMD were moving in the right direction, go figure :p

Now we've said all this it will probably be something that means nothing to most of us.

Probably spot on with that, it'l be some game bundle deal for one of the lower end cards most likely. If it was a big announcement I don't think they would use bookface to launch it :D

Full size image here.

Trying to do what Gregster done, not as many results though.
I'm happy to keep editing this post if Pgi wants to link this on the main page, providing everyone wants to do "Going Hunting" mission as per the video.

I'll add Eyefinity and Nvidia Surround whenever somebody does them (I will later tonight)

If you could that would be awesome of you!!

Machine is up and running again so I'll update tomorrow evening (I promise!) before I have a couple of nights of down time for rebuild.

Talking fag paper differences though. At 1080p you're effectively the same with either card.

Very much so.

Agree with stock clocks, not everyone wants to or has the confidence to overclock, have quite a few friends that are enjoying gaming completely at stock :)

Updates incoming, won't be doing any more testing my self for another week minimum, rebuild to do, re-install windows and I'll be restricted to a 360+120 radiator.
