**The OcUK Benchmarks thread!**

Partially updated though I have some news to make things easier inspired from other users in this thread.

I'm going to combine all results posted into a single chart for ultra easy comparison, gregster, tonester if you guys want to carry on compiling the mass of BF3 results we already have that would be fantastic and I'll get to work over the weekend getting everything else sorted out for ultra easy viewing :)

Haha it's just for reference for others to decide on what to purchase, I could easily give unreal expectations by benching games at 1340/1950 :p

I think you should do a bf3 run on your 1600mhz 680 :o

WOW! Thats around a 107 base correct? Thats impressive, what kind of strain does such a high base put on the motherboard? I'll be putting the Xpower II under water as soon as its logical to do so.

And yeah, that vcore is really good, especially considering I had to input 1.54v into the UD7 to bench 5ghz out of a 3820, have a feeling this will be lower with the new board :)

I see :)

Really looking forward to getting this motherboard in and tested out, especially as MSI rave about it having the record for highest base clock/strap combo of ~104.6x1.66= 173.8mhz.

Another question for you, do the PCI lanes run at base or base+strap speed? So would a 125mhz(100x1.25) clock run the PCI at 125mhz or 100mhz?

Do you play ANY games 8 Pack?

Start the thread up if you wish, I'm sure it will be very popular, most bench threads are, I've done a few Vantage benches before but can't remember my scores at all, I also found Vantage heavier on the system then 3dm11 :)

Just make sure to set some basic rules i.e. what should be posted.

I've been getting like that lately, turn PC on to play a game then end up playing with settings until something stops working :p

Oh, I ended up buying a bench table...

Hey pgi.. any chance u can link my BF3 benchmark post directly to the first page so that people can see the rest of my specs. More info on the rest of my system i think is very helpful to see how my result was achieved :)

Heres the link..

Thanks.

I'll be updating everything over the weekend, just need to rig up a second monitor to my laptop to make things a little easier on a big screen :)

Recently upgraded my monitor from a Dell 24" to a DGM 27" Resolution 2560x1440. The game i've been running is BF3 and im getting the odd frame dips into the 40's with an Nvidia 690 playing at full ultra. Does that sound about right?

Depends whats happening when you dip into the minimums, I would say it sounds a little low, but other 690 /6x0 SLI users should be able to say.

Hmm that might be whats giving you the low minimums, try dropping down to 2xMSAA and/or SBAO rather than HBAO.

Dropping to SBAO alone should push your mins and avg's up.

Yep just mocking up some 'grouped' results right now, Might take a little time (crappy macbook, 1280x800 screen makes multi-tasking impossible) until I find the DP adaptor to get it on the big screen

I wish I could speak to 15 year old me and ask him to do this, 15 YO me was awesome with excel, 26 YO me, not so much :p

:p

Getting there, the BF3 results are all over the place, some are sword breaker, some aren't some are 12.11, some aren't, some are maxed out, some aren't.

I need to clean things up a little and remove irrelevant results, 12.11 pretty much turned this thread upside down as we had a heap of results from 12.9. Getting there though, I'll update a little later with a sample of what every result group will look like.

Yep I'll clean it up tomorrow as I've just found out that MS Office on OSX is a complete pile of ****

Ranges do not match up at all with the readings, a 120 reading, reads off as 230, 384 reads off as 800. Not a clue why, but I have a hunch its down to this POS called an operating system.

Edit: nvm, turns out if you want stacked charts in OSX it does just that :o

Afaik its essentially a UD5 with better onboard Audio/LAN ports. The X79 UD boards aren't THAT bad, just when pushing an extreme OC the droop becomes an issue, 4.75ghz was easy, 5ghz was a pain due to adjusting power limits correctly to compensate for the droop etc...My UD7 will be a good board for someone who wants a middle of the road OC (4.4-4.6ghz) and the ability to have 4 GPU's.

Haven t used OSX for a long time, can't help you with that :(

Its ok got it sorted (I think) sample file of what every result grouping will look like, organised by resolution

It doesn't help I'm running on a 2.6ghz core2duo, 1066mhz DDR3 with onboard 320M, I presume the OS would be a great deal smoother on some better hardware. Certainly not as easy to multi-task on as Windows 7 by a long shot. I absolutely love the 'snap to fit' feature on Win 7, makes life 10000x easier when reading data from one source and inputting into another :)
