Just for fun before the serious police slap me down

What's yours?

Mine - no cars with less than 100bhp/ton allowed in the outside lane(lane3) of a motorway

This after spending an eternity behind a Hyundia Getz struggling to get past a transit sitting at no more than 60 in the middle lane

Also

Legal to undertake on motorways and dual carriageways

If there's enough room tO undertake there's enough room for the inattentive fits to move over

make the police focus less on speeding and more on other equally dangerous issues such as tailgating, people not indicating and other generally moronic driving (using the wrong lane)

And then all the old cars that are still on the road?

ahhh.. didnt think that one through, did i

still think the limit should be increased but the option for police to use "undue care and attention" should be increased

so just because you can drive faster, it would still allow for penalizing (sp?) people driving like idiots , too fast in the wrong conditions etc

The less polluting car you have, the higher the VED you pay. Sort of... vice versa of what it is now. Not only would there be a constant V8 noise whereever you went, but i estimate that productivity would increase by 400% due to people being able to get to where they are going faster/on time. This in turn would lead to a £120bn saving, which would allow us, as a country, to be debt free in 3 years.

Plus would be funny to see all the idiots trading in their Hyundai i10's and buying 6.0l V8's.

If you have a queue of 3 or more cars, or a single car for more than 2 miles you should pull over at the next safe place and allow them to pass (obviously only on single carriageway).

No women or drivers over the age of 70 on the road, road tax equal for all vehicles, indicators added and horns removed from taxis, mobile camera vans and handheld speed cameras scrapped, speed bumps and "traffic calming measures" removed.

All the NSL roads that were reduced to 50mph go back to being NSL again.

Failure to respect right of way gets a fine and points on your licence.

I've said this before; allow people to own an advanced driving license so providing they have X amount of advanced tuition and pass a difficult test or number of tests, have a suitable car and the road conditions are right etc then they would be allowed to drive at speeds above the normal speed limit (mainly on the motorway/a-roads).

Make it a bannable offence for people who drive at 40mph regardless of whether the speed limit is 30 or NSL.

Death penalty for people who drive grey/silver cars, in heavy fog with no lights on at 8 in the morning (seen this 3 times this month!!)

Move to left lane after overtake or get 3 points

Road Tax to be goverened by mileage travelled. Why should I pay the same road tax price when I currently do 6k a year compared to some other guy with the same car who travels 30k a year. My emmissions are far far less
