Thanks for the pruning earlier, it puts this thread back on track :) .

Could a passing don please change the name of the thread to

**The OcUK Kent bash 12th March 2005 - Get the details and put your names in here**

That will make things a bit more solid rather than just taking a straw poll on those who are interested.

Thanks

Me too. :)

Train times don't look too bad. Here's one I picked at random.

Saturday 12 March 2005 - Station Arr Dep Travel by Service Provider
NEWBURY STATION 10:32 Train FIRST GREAT WESTERN
LONDON PADDINGTON 11:18 11:18 Tube*
LONDON BRIDGE 12:18 12:18 Train SOUTH EAST TRAINS
MAIDSTONE EAST 13:05

Haven't looked at places to stay or anything like that yet. Might have to grab someone on MSN for advice. :)

If anyone needs a bed for the night i'm about a mile or so from centre of maidstone and have a spare room with futon and space for a double inflatable matress. So if anyone doesnt want to pay ott for a hotel then let me know.

Only 2.5 hours on the train, easy journey, there maybe someone comming your way though, you never know :)

As far as places to stay we have a few in the thread,The White Rabbit, Travel Inn, http://www.villagehotelsonline.co.uk/hotels/maidstone/.

If you want to MSN me later my address is in the usual place :)

Hotels, I though I already did? :D

If you want to be near to town and stay in a nice place which isn't too expensive then The White Rabbit is the way to go, 800yds from bowling 500yds from drinking. Its also 2 minutes from my place, which might be nice for those who don't want to go clubing but might like a nightcap.

The Travel Inn (usual facilities) at Sandling will be cheaper but is 1.8m from the town centre, as is The Village which has a pool and is a bit nicer than the Travel Inn, but I suspect slightly more expensive.

The Grange Moor is less than a mile away in the opposite direction
http://www.grangemoor.co.uk/,
been there, but never stayed, don't know about prices though.

Found this one too which is about 20yds from the bowling alley :D

Thats what I have so far, hope it helps a bit

That last one looks ok - only got 13 rooms though - and only 5 of them will be any use really (2 single and 3 twin), unless people wanna bed share.

So we know the count of people staying?
