Hopefully I'm still pitching up with Otacon,... or else I'm having a night under the stars (or I could just buy myself a tent :p). Looking forward to this now!

It always seems that MatBlack's meet threads (and meets) go on for page after page! Legendary! I think we'll have to think of a decent gift this time, maybe an inflatable sheep or something useful like that ;)

I'm pleased to report that my tent worked very well last night. I turned in around midnight and although it was incredibly cold outside (about 4C) I was nice and toasty in my sleeping bag.

I woke up around a quarter to five, but soon dozed off again. I finally woke up properly just after half past eight and decided that it was a good time to leave the tent. The sun had risen and the temperature outside is just over 17C now and condensation was starting to form because of the huge differences in temperature and the fact that it was basically a sealed environment. I've got everything out and left the main flaps all open, but the flys are still closed to get the air flowing.

It'll all get put back into it's bag later today ready for August.

Rock on!

Well Piggy and I went tent shopping yesterday and saw one that we liked so will be ordering it up today off the net along with a sleeping bag and some other bits 'n' bobs :)

Feek, did you find it a lot lighter inside than you expected?

I always think someone's got a light on outside, when I'm in mine.

No, not really. It was very late when I crashed so it was dark then, and it was light when I woke up, but the sun had also woken up and was shining so I wasn't too surprised.

Very pleased I bought the model I did though. It's officially a two man tent but I'd not want to try and sleep two people in there.

Even though I'm not planning on attending this meet (If things in my life go the way I want them to, I'll hopefully attend swansea at xmas), does it show that I'm a geek, that I wondered whether there would be power, and possibly wireless internet for laptops? :P

Just been reading through the thread, count me in.... i'm game for a laugh :D

I am a camping virgin but I have no problems staying at the campsite. I will give them a ring monday to get it sorted. Its my first ocuk meet as well :)

Matt

Excellent Zirax, thats the spirit :)

Please post how you get on with the campsite, if you can negotiate parking there, you are welcome to camp at Mum and Dads place :)

Although our tent density maybe reaching critical mass.

@ Everyone

Thank you for starting to sort out the car sharing, you're all doing a great job :)
Sharing isn't the only solution available, the option of paying for parking at the campsite can still be explored, I am sure people who go hiking around the area must park somewhere. As I mentioned before there are some very quiet residential roads in Pembroke where nobody would notice your cars, the crime rate in the area is minimal, we would need to do some ferrying about it taxi people back after they store their motors but it only a couple of miles into Pembroke.

edit: Who was the jobsworth that changed my sig all for 0.1kb? How pathetic.

I dont realise you were exempt from the forum rules. Next time you'll just be suspended instead, we may as well live up to being called nazi's and jobsworths.

As for the route, I was just going to go straight along the M4 into Wales, so if that's near to you, then I can pick you up en-route.
Hi, another Bristolian here... If there's still room in your car, could I get a lift aswell?

Shouldn't be an issue Mike, though I really don't know Bristol at all so finding you may be a struggle

This sounds great, I would like to be added as a possibility if that ok. At the moment I only live 1 hours drive away (otherside of Carmarthen). This is only temporary and I may have moved by August. Lets hope not! :p

Mike and myself can easily sort out an easy pick up spot. the M4 joins our little M32 which runs into Bristol centre which is easy to navigate. I'm sure we can arrange some where easy for you to grab us on your way past if that's ok?
