Matblack managed to convince me to join in this - and maybe I'll even get a little more involved in events this time :o (most of the AT rides would have been sickmaking for me :().

I still need to be a little careful about this. Due to my eyesight problems, there's a danger of me getting garrotted by tent ropes, or punctured by tent spikes. I've done both before, so I have no doubt I can do both again. However, I have 'done' camping before (a long time ago), so I have some idea what to expect.

So, I need to organise:
  • Transport. Anyone travelling past M4 J13 willing to give me a lift? (will contribute to petrol).
  • Accommodation. I'm not sure about tent sharing , but that doesn't rule out something being sorted (I know camping and privacy don't go together). Or I could get my own - although I haven't got a clue how to put one up. :)
  • A blanket. ;)
... plus a few other obvious things.

Can't do much about the accomodation or the transport but what we will do is do everything we can to make sure that you have accomodation which has access to everything without having to navigate through other tents and also a lit and direct to route to the loos.

I would sugest that you might want a sleeping bag in addition to a blanket :) Pembroke nights can be cool even in summer.

This should sort the lighting at least, as long as no-one is walking in the opposite direction...

I'm waiting to see what happens with accomodation before sorting the sleeping arrangements, although I've already found the airbed I want. :)

I need to sort out an airbed, I've got one from my mum and dad at the moment and it's average at best. What have you found?

Mr. huddy - I bought it second hand, it cost me about £60 including postage. It looked absolutely new though when I opened it all up, which was nice.

I saw Tesco were selling airbeds for about £12.
I know that's where I'll probably end up getting one from.

result! I won't sleep any way so my £49 job will do!! Although saying that it'll blow away at the first gust!!!

I'll be up keeping gaurd all nite :D

Try it first, do what I did, be brave and set it up in your garden and then kip in it!

Mine is sooooooo easy to erect. Take it out of the bag, undo the strap and per-doing! Instant tent.

So you lot can be setting yours up while I'm topping up the tan, licking an ice cream and giving you all marks out of ten!

berserker: there is this shop i saw (cant remember the name) where you could buy tent supposedly opened up in 2 sec and folded back in 15 sec? would that not help you

I'll have a look in Millets. The one MB linked to doesn't look too bad.

I need to know I can get there before I start spending money. :)

OK, I've given the tent it's first run to make sure everything was in the pack and to generally just see how it all goes together :)

So, here it is.....
