OK then, no offers of accommodation, so it's 'buy a tent' time tomorrow (probably the Millets 'kit'). Will check out the airbed and see if I need to order something better (probably do). I'll have to find a dry weekend for a trial run (outside ;))

Need to dust off my outdoor/camping chair and see if that's still servicable, and see if I've got any usable blankets (for warmth, not for Clint Eastwood impersonation).

Camping? Outdoors? Me? Scary - run away. :eek: :)

Have you tried the sleeping bags yet? I think they were designed with the likes of Piggymon in mind. Only way I'll get one closed is if someone amputates my arms. :o

Be warned, the compression packs are a right pain to get on and off.

/goes back to Millets for a 'sensible size' sleeping bag.
 
You realise.. I have a tent (2x6ft4 people fit in comfort, one space would be free atm), Tranger (for that cooking bacon smell in the morning)... Sleeping bag and cold bag for beer.. sounds like a plan!
Can also bring BBQ (one with a dome top type/thingie as a wind guard).

So if you'll have me, I'd be up for this. I'd be travelling from Reading will have space available :) Or if anyone is zipping down the M4 past Reading..

I'd better not try 'doing a Desmo'. Might let go of one of the poles and watch it ping into the ceiling or something equally dumb. I've already tried (and failed) with a sleeping bag though. :D

If the weather's right this weekend, I'll be out in the back garden trying to ping the local wildlife. I'd better try not to ping a neighbour's window though, and I'm expecting some odd looks (communal garden). Wish me luck. :D

Just hope I can re-pack it afterwards. :)
 
Berserker, the sleeping bag I bought was this one. Not cheap :(, but a good size and incredibly warm and toasty :)

Nuts to sleeping bag, I'm sure it'll be fine undone and I'm planning on being too drunk to notice if I have a few chilly bits. I'm in the lucky situation of being able to ponce a blanket at short notice from the 'rents if it comes to the crunch :)

NickK I have added you to the list, I think a kettle BBQ might not be enough what we really need is a Oil Drum barbie, does anyone have one?

i'm gonna have to try and set up my tent in my room... just for a laugh! i better tidy it first though, too many computer components that might get damaged. i was really worried about coming at first, but this sounds great and i can't wait :)

I may be able to sort an oil drum bbq out. I will have a chat with my uncle and see if they have an old oil drum kicking around at the farm :)

Down the middle with a blow torch & some kind of wire mesh from B&Q / somewhere sound good?
