I have had a chat to my uncle and they don't have an oil drum lying around the farm.... apparantly they cleared out a load of rubbish :eek: (There was around 30 years of old tractor bits/tyres/oil drums/stuff lying around)

I asked them to see if they can find something suitable

edit: I may have access to an oil drum BBQ, but not entirely sure whether I'd be able to fit it in my car at all by the time I'd have a tent and stuff in the boot. Its only a little Corsa. If you need it I can probably work something out though.
 
Woo hoo! Holiday dates confirmed with work :D

A thought I had last night after browsing the forums, we've got a few guitar players around, and some are coming to the meet. How do people feel about me bringing along my acoustic guitar for folks to play on? After all, what is a camping meet without the obligatory attempts to remember the words to obscure songs learnt ages ago and since forgotton! :)

My large kettle bbq is also on standby for cooking duties, It is probably the same diameter as a oil drum or near enough, if i am able to attend as knowing my luck the house sale will finally happen that weekend the way my luck is going.

I'm trying to catch up on the whole big thread but you guys just post too much spam :p

What I'd like answered, if possible:

Where am I likely to be staying? MB's parents farm or a commercial campsite, if so I'll need to get on to booking it asap.

Is there anyone still wanting a tent mate? If not I'll be buying a 2 man tent before August anyway so will bring my own.

Any other important things that I might have missed?

Parking might be tight (we're working on it)
Don't know about tent mates (I have mine)
Its not spam it is quality storming, forming and norming rheteric!

I'm still uncertain about tent mates until next weekend when I can nag...I mean ask the better half :o

I forgot to ask that :o Jhadur just asked me and I've not got a clue :o

Also we'll be driving up from Portsmouth so can pick up any hitchhikers on the way :)

Couldn't be worse than mine mate - I can empty a pub quicker than a bomb scare!
