Okay, I've checked the rota.

Assuming nothing changes in the meantime, I'm off on the 7th and 8th, working the 5th and 6th. My manager is on holiday in California so I will need her to come back before I can be authorised for the Saturday. Friday is a no-no though.

Forgot to mention it to Kate but I expect she'd come with me, so you can put er, Lopkat down as a "very likely" until I get my confirmation. :)
 
Feel free to count me as a definite.

Booked my flights earlier today: Edinburgh to Cardiff return for £43.80 with BMIBaby - quite a bargain, I thought :D

(Thanks for the tip Piggy, you were right; I couldn't find any flights from Scotland to Swansea)

You arranged a lift from Cardiff Stan?

I'd offer, but I think I'll be coming down the coast instead.
 
If I get the Day off I can pop and pick Stan up .. It's only about 40 mins away from my house

If not , anyone coming down the M4 can pick Stan up as it's only a 10 min Detour from the M4 and it's very well signposted :)

Haven't got around to that yet but, as we're on the subject:

If any kind person is travelling from/through Cardiff, could I bum a lift please (will be more than happy to contribute to fuel costs)?

Also, I am coming down on the 4th and planning to stay overnight in Cardiff. Likewise I am not going back up 'til the 9th so will need a Hotel in cardiff for one night either side of the event - can anyone suggest a decently priced Hotel handy with the city centre?

Hmmm. I wouldn't mind driving down the west coast, but theaa and RAC are telling me to cut straight through Wales, avoiding the coast and avoiding the M6/M5.

Anyone got any experience of driving through the valleeeees?

Through Monmouthshire etc ??

It's a lovely drive :)
 
I have no idea what Monmouthshire is :p

I was hoping to take in some of the West Wales country and head through Aberystwyth (so I can sing "is this the way to Aberystwyth" to lots of people on the way down) and so on, but if its a nice drive through the dead centre of Wales I could manage that :)
 
It's the way I went to Leeds so I'm assuming it's directing you the same way :p

I always enjoy the drive , there's quite a few nice twisties ;)
