I've since placed a fan between the case and the rad, so it's definatly getting air into the case. Slight design flaw though, my GTS pumps very hot air straight into the rad on full load. Need to duct it away from it some how.

Man that system looks noice I love the tubing! Nice lookn rig Ben!

ATI and AMD for life though =P

Man does anybody know anything about those M5x20 Bolts? I posted about the earlier Just kinda bumping I really wanna get them I'm modding it this weekend most probably and I need some state side =(

Why do the bolts need to be aluminium, I'd use steel as aluminium threads damage too easily ?

Normal 5mm x 20mm steel cap heads will do which usually are black anyway as they are oil quenched following heat treatment.

A quick look at Amazon.com shows a selection of cap head/mushroom head bolts that will be OK. You should be able to get them locally though, have a look in the phone book/google for fastener suppliers.

If you want then satin black to match the case just paint them :)

Aww! Thanks!

Thanks David! I don't regular amazon evers...dunno I use pricewatch.com search.com froogle.com ...and Some others I can't remember right now! lol but I was disappointed I couldn't get a good selection w/ pics, That link is Excellent!

I ordered some panel thumbscrews and noticed the threads on this case are the superfine dunno the measurement. I was dissapointed when I bought a set of black thumb screws for this case, but I might end up using them instead of the M5's when I mod the top, was thinking I might be able to make the holes just enough circumference for the thumb screws to bite and hold, Then I could remove the fans when I needed quickly? heh...

Pictures...

@Mr Kingston
I don't think so due to the USB,firewire, and audio ports on top, but if you mod those out it's an easy go. Just throw in a PCI USB hub if you need more.
a tripple rad would fit after that.

@zootfloot
They are "BOSTON" They come with a woofer too, ******* FANTASTIC speakers, they came with a gateway computer in a bundle back in the 90s lol I think.

Great quality I had to dig up a converter cap for my universal DC power device from radioshack to use em cause I can't find their original brick and Power connection. These things are worth it though. I'm going to be upgrading later to Altec Lansing though. Some black ones to match everything else =)

I just got My ACRyan in the mail and all my other materials I'm gonna start modding it tonight probably will have pics tommorow hopefully =D

There's not a lot of airflow in the back of the case at the top so I would put a vent in if you are using any GC that will run hot. At a minimum I'd fit the slotted/meshed slot covers over any unused slots. Other people have fitted the slot blowers in the top slots to get rid of the warm air.

The top is dead easy to cut though being ally, I did my 2x120mm with one dremel disc in about 5mins. Just cover the top with masking tape and mark out using the grille of your choice (single/double) and then away you go. I've used an AC Ryan grille but there are loads available.

What's the secret of getting the wife happy about spending money on a new case (just so I can file it away for future reference) ;):D

You didn't use the "look it's the case equivalent of the Chanel little black dress" ?

She's always complaining about how large the PC is. Basically the smaller your hobby the happier the wife.

SFF = happy wife

Anything wrong with changing the air flow? I was thinking of having the front as an intake (filtered) with a top exhaust fitted + the bottom exhaust. Keeping a slight positive air pressure.

Dont see a problem with it, but wouldnt you have to do something about the psu?

You will have warm air vented out from the PSU and cooler air being forced in from the front fan.

One of the reasons i went for this case is its airflow system which for me seems to be working remarkably well.
