What monitor would you go with that would even come close to the 4.5K on the iMac? This is what has always been difficult for me and the Mac Mini. You could pair with a 5K UltraFine, but that's almost the cost of the iMac by itself.

Yeah I absolutely see your point, I've been looking at a lower quality monitor for sure, like the dell 27 inch ultrasharps for between 400-650 but as a trade off would have a larger screen that I could also use for the xbox.

Love the keep it simple picture

Really interested in hearing the speakers, do you feel they are good enough to watch youtube etc or will you go for additional speakers?

Also really like than ipad stand! Do you have a link?

Yea they are good enough for media for sure.

This is the stand - https://satechi.net/products/aluminum-desktop-stand-for-ipad?variant=33573590368344

Bought it from Very - https://www.very.co.uk/satechi-alum...pro-space-grey/1600603563.prd?sku=sku23687633

I'm going to try and go down and have a look this week. Try and swing my mind one way or another on the mini or imac. I also want to get a feel for the height on my desk as the lack of height adjustment might be a bit of a problem on my desk, so I'd like get the Vesa mount version.

Very interested in the "pro" version of this when it comes. Do they usually allow monitor input? My wife will still need a monitor for her surface pro for work where as I can work directly from the Mac.

Mono is better than stereo?

Issue no longer :D

Interesting. From my M1 Macbook Air I airplay to my full size HomePod and that has occasional lipsync issues. Maybe its something they've sorted with an update.

My Mac mini is connected via WiFi 6 to an Aruba AP, and the Sonos beam is hardwired so I guess that might help. I haven't done much testing with my HomePod as it's in a different room to my Mini.
