i there my good friends :)

So i'm a proud owner of a 5950X and i'm doing some testing.

I have a big doubt though: When running CB r20, in multi, i never see my cores reaching 4.0Ghz ( stock ).

Is this normal?! I see people with all cores at 4.4 and more ... and my cores don't go there ( usually around 3.8 - 3.9 ).

Running memtest i see all clocks around 4.7 though

The other specs:
4 x 8Gb of Xtreem 8pack 4500 with IF 1900 and timings at 3800 CL14-17-8-12-22I
MSI x570 Unify

4ghz all core for stock 5950x is normal. People getting 4.4 etc are not stock they are using pbo

In game mode, with PBO, the 8 active cores sat at 4.4GHz for me. But as that's only half the cores active, and if I try anything else with PBO most of the cores decide to sit at 547MHz(!!), I'm in the same boat - during R23 multi-core they all sit around the 3.9 mark.

Ok my friends, as for the CPU not boosting as intended ... here's the deal ... you need to go to the task manager > details > CB r20

And there change the priority to ... normal, above normal or high ... Mine was below normal so it was not boosting properly.

Meanwhile, my 5950x with PBO & Curve Optimization ( still under work )

Mine is certainly a warm chip. I have it under a custom loop and still seeing temps of high 80's while running r23. when gaming high 70's, i did notice my voltage going upwards of 1.4 which was causing the temps. So i have limited mine now to 1.3 and it hasn't lost any performance.

I have been wondering if i have a good contact with the block so planning on re-seating it over the xmas holidays.
