***The Official 6320/6420 Overclocking Thread***

I know... :D Nothing worse than having a pc tied up.

Thats still very impressive.

Have you used speedfan. That is the most accurate I have found and it tells you the correct voltage. I know :D

Finally something that does.

Nice 06 score.

What is your complete rig.

I would have set it to orthos overnight, but I went out and had a little to much to drink. Well to much for me. :( 5 pints of heineken was enough to make me feel tipsy on my feet :o

tbh i havent tried yet :o

What Vcore are you priming at for 3.7ghz? I can run 3dmark06 @ 1.5v @3.7ghz but havent tried stability yet.

Yes you have a few posts ago you failed prime @ 3.7ghz and stated you were not interested in trying.

You have not posted one screenshot of your overclock either.

Unlike scoobie dave that clearly shows his chip orthos stable @ 3.6ghz.
You then have the gaul to have your sig at 3.7ghz until I pulled you about it.As it was not stable.

I want a screenshot of this please. You have posted to many claims and no proof.

You also claim that you put 1.6v through it on air too.

Which I just do not believe.

Also you are so clearly spammings its pathetic.

You post 3 times in a row when all you need to do is edit your previous post.

For example:

post 175 6th May 2007, 16:09
post 1766th May 2007, 16:11
post 177 6th May 2007, 16:12

with no replies from anyone in between. So you were effectively talking to yourself.

Blatent spamming

I don't think he is a spoofer - I've seen several screenshots in memory threads that show his CPU running at 3.7GHz and the RAM at 1300MHz, so the board/RAM/CPU combination definitely does do 3.7GHz, and I've never seen him claim it as Orthos stable.

I know that some people on these forums require all sorts of evidence that an overclock is 'stable' but just as many people are quite happy with something that doesn't crash in normal use and I think that snazzy_dazzy's overclock is in that group.

There is a pretty fine line between asking someone to make good on their claims and jumping all over them as if they were a spoofer. And as for posting several times in a row, I've just posted 4 seperate posts in the ASUS P5N-E SLi thread because evey time I posted, someone else posted something above it. It's easier to make a new post and once you're approaching a 7000 post-count, you're a bit less worried about being called a spammer :D

He says in this very thread it ran 10hrs.....lol

Not interested TBH in unstable clocks

The posts have no relevance other than is increased post count.
Hes talking to himself and hes ruining a perfectly good thread.

I hadn't seen that. It does kind of beg for supporting evidence really.

I like the suicide shots as much as the stable clocks, as they give a glimpse of what might be possible with the right cooling or a small volt-mod maybe.

Well, maybe you just need to leave it, for the sake of your blood pressure ;)

nothing fancy here :p

i'm testing at 3.6ghz at moment, using 1.54vcore, orthos tested for 3hrs, so far all ok but temps hitting 60c. just done vdroop mod so vcore stable. ram is at 900mhz.

450x8 = 3.6ghz
vcore = 1.54v
nb core = 1.56v
vcore offset = auto

should have some pics in the morning :)

Hi there stranger!

I am wondering how much vCore a vanilla e6400 needs to hit 3.6GHz?

hey mate how r u ? No snow tonight so no trying to get you mobo out on the landing eh ;)

Dunno about the e6400 as the only one I have is occupied in this machine and runs at stock due to SHIIIiiiiiii%e motherboard.

I would really like to know max clocks on these E6420s - g00gling now

im stuck at 3.3ghz, i tryed putting the pci-e to 105mhz and adding +0.1v to the pci-e and i can get 3.4ghz but its really unstable i posted near the top of this page with my other settings, can any give me any pointers what to change next to help the stability?

Your ram is probably holding you back.

What speed is it running?

I guess 950 mhz?

Try looser timings
