Here have a gold star and 2 house points
Still a big vdrop nonetheless.

Looks promising, what vCore and stuff have you set for that please?Subliminal Aura said:

These vcores reading and temps look off !
The BIOS reads my vcore @ 1.5 whereas I put in 1.6
SO PUCK IT PUCK IT PUCK IT.... I'm going for it.
1.62 VCORE which I recogn is around 1.52 real - strange thing is that temps are a little higher however I have turned the tuniq on full blast.
I'm on orthos 3.6 : 10 mins in.
If you smell fire call 999.
EDIT I ready need to take vcore measurements manually.
devablue said:is that for 3.6ghz? 1.64 and that should droop down to 1.54v under load. thats same as me, good luck.

you might be able to pencil mod your vcore so you only need to put 1.54v vcore in bios and no droop.
What are your load temps like? are you watching the temps around the time Orthos fails?Subliminal Aura said:1.62 just failed : any takers for me raising it to 1.64 ?

That seemed like a very high system temp but then I saw you were using a SUGO!. The CPU load temp is ok but I think to open the 'secret overclocking door' in these Core 2 Duos you really need to keep them cool (isn't that the case for all CPU's!)Subliminal Aura said:I'm 3 hours into Orthos @ 3.4 : Tat Core temps are 55 which is ok system temp approaches 48-50.
Yup understood, but if that clock fails, don't change any setting except put the fan on full to see if it then passes (just for testing purposes).Subliminal Aura said:I've got the fan down to a mere 1200 as I want this overclock to be quiet.

Didn't see a results table yet?markyp23 said:Not another pre-emptive overclocking thread?
easyrider, it is your obligation to make a spreadsheet of all the results and put it in the original post.

Cmon be a friendly chap and help the nOObies by sifting through this thread and creating a top ten, give preference to those people who made an effort to post an Orthos Stable screenie. I'm sure a lot of people would really appreciate your efforts!easyrider said:How many 3.3's and 3.4's do we need.

In the future please don't bother making an *** Official thread*** unless you bought the hardware, yes its a good idea to help keep the forums tidy but just let another keen overclocker have a go for a change
It would be nice to see someone else have a chance to create an ***Official*** thread, ya know like someone who actually owned the hardware hint hinteasyrider said:So your problem is with my *** Official threads***
Well thats what your doing isn't it?easyrider said:Thats the problem here...there is to much talk of overclocking and little proof going on
