*****The Official Aliens Vs Predator 3*****

What's not to get about having the box and disc? At the end of the day Steam is essentially loaning you the games. If it goes pear shaped they give you a one off update to enable you to play them without Steam...what if you forget to back up, or will the back ups even work if Steam goes under? I don't really see DVD sized boxes as a major inconvenience to be honest.

And Steam games are worthless as you cannot sell them on once you are finished with them...

you do have a point about the second hand sale....however this is another must have for me:)

Agreed about the overpricing of new games on Steam except L4D2 which had a decent preorder price.
I still find it mad that a pre-order boxed game can be cheaper?! Wish Steam would sort this out.
As such gonna preorder via non-steam means.

I think digital downloads still have a novelty tax and they're charging you for the convenience too, but I agree, it's silly, they have far less overheads than a shop or online store. They should be at least as cheap as somewhere like the jersey based online retailer.

I too would be keen for that. Their staying very tight lipped about it, I hope the specs don't require a x-fire 5970 or something daft to play it tidy!

Pre-ordered. Can't wait for this. Loved the first 2 games & really like the look of this one. I've been waiting for years for a new one. I always thought they should have licensed the doom3 engine & made a game in that.

Am I right in thinking that this is going to be a full DX11 title still?

Game have the Survivor edition available for pre-order on pc - £34.99. Not sure I can justify almost double the price I have it pre-ordered at for four maps which will come out as dlc and the courtesy of my game in a steel case! :p

*edit - HMV have the hunter edition for pc on pre-order for £39.99
