Yes I’m using a fenix 6 which does everything but the menus, lag and display is annoying me now. Guess that’s trade off for battery life.
When I had the Apple Watch 4 I always had my phone with me. Maybe I had a faulty one who knows. Will give the 7 a 2 week trial and see how I get on.

Can it do Apple Pay, and Face ID unlock while wearing a mask? They are two things I use all the time.

Not sure why battery life is such an issue the watch charges so quickly, the Series 7 even faster with the USB-C charger.

Can the watch do Apple Pay? Yeah it can.

Also if you’re wearing your watch, FaceID will unlock your phone with a mask on.

It's not exactly slow though - I have an older model, an S4 but I just chuck it on charge when I wake up, have a shower etc and by the time I get back it's done, or usually up to 95-97% at least which easily lasts the entire day.

Series 5 and 6 still more than capable, I think watch upgrades will be someones less more frequent upgrades.

Wasn’t that because you scratched the screen on an aluminium model?

I’ve had a series 2, 4 and 6 all SS and the screens have always remained pristine.

    Yes.

It was two days old and it grew a scratch out of absolute nowhere. I still have no idea where it came from.

Would you say getting a Series 6 (44mm) for £275-290 represents a better deal than waiting for the 7 at £399?

Yes. I’m not seeing anything on the 7 that’s worth £100+ extra.

Looks like preorders are going live next week for these. Has anyone bought the solo braided straps any good? How are they when they get wet? Also is the sizing tool accurate?

I've read, possibly on here, that the solo's arent accurate with size, best to see if you can get to try one in store.

I’ll be considering a Series 7 Steel Graphite 45mm to replace my Series 4 Steel 44mm.

I usually use a Sports Band with it. I got 2 official Milanese bands but I don’t use them at all. Ones still unused. So yeah Series 7 45mm Graphite with a Black Sport Band will do me nicely.

@Feek didn’t you get one? Or did you buy the eBay ones, how were they?

Not one of the braided elastic things, no. I think they look horrible.

Ahhh, might be a regular sports band and then order some cheapo ones from eBay. EBay still the best place to the? Haven’t had an Apple Watch since series 4
