*** The Official ATI Radeon HD 6950 Overclocking Thread ***

Have you renamed the Sapphire.HD6970.2048.101124.bin to unlock.bin?

Yes. I tried this batch converter http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/1920/HD_6950_to_HD_6970_Flashing_Tools.html (the one I think you were actually referring to?) and it still has 1408 shaders after a restart?

I got this message (which looks good)?

Thanks.

Edit: Can you confirm the switch should be towards the xfire bridge?

The latest version of Afterburner isn't fully functional for 69xx cards (apparently the creator hasn't yet received any 69xx cards). It seems that it's ok for overclocks on single cards but will give you a BSOD if you try clocking any xfire setup.

Before using the 6970 flash I was just using the max allowed by CCC - not sure if there's a workaround for afterburner but I'm not really too keen to find out anyway until the 69xx series is properly supported and has been tested.

You have xfire don't you mr mustard ?
How did you flash yours ?
One at a time, take one out flash then do the other ?

Just ran unigine with me 6950 (6970:D) at the same overclock as yours easy, got the following:

FPS: 56.7
Scores: 1429
Min FPS: 35.4
Max FPS: 137.4

Tell me how to upload me score here and I'll do it for you.:)

I'm looking at buying the 2x 6950's on the overclockers main site. Could anyone tell me if my ThermalTake 750W PSU would handle these bad boys?

Specs:
Q6600 @3.00
8GB DDR3 1066MHz RAM
2x Raptors RAID0
3x WD SATA @ 7200RPM

Which model would yous suggest?

Thanks
