As with all BF games it will get better. They need new maps! Other than that had a good session today headshotting other snipers on cranes. Very satisfying.
There are certainly some over dramatic souls around this thread. If you don't like the game or agree with the direction it's gone in, just don't play it or look at anything related to it.
I still don't understand how people can be so aggressively negative and critical of a game - and then continue to read threads, posts and articles about that game.
Probably because it's laughable at what the game has become, all the bragging about how many dev teams worked on the game only to find out later that of the 3 years of development half that was trying to get the base game to work on the engine, then they went into panic stations mode and roped in as many devs as they could to slap something together as fast as they could.
Everyone has a laugh at some of the bugs in battlefield games as they're usually amusing, but the game is also usually pretty good as well. This on the other hand is an unfinished buggy pos that would struggle to find an audience if it went free to play.
It speaks volumes when even former dice devs are speaking out and can't believe the crap they're seeing.
Playing solo or with others? I'm definitely finding 2042 to be a more enjoyable experience with at least one other person in the squad that I know / have partied up with.About 20 hours total, and probably half of that was playing the server join roundabout where it says its connecting then kicks you back to the lobby where you have to attempt to join again
You can also still grapple onto smoke as well as Mackay, really useful for getting out of a sticky spot even if it 100% should not work that way.I still like it but there are some funnies:
1) Plastic bags that look like jellyfish
2) Shooting at trees gives off smoke
3) Going prone can cause a physical fit

The fix for the not-connecting issue is to restart your game or try to connect to a different type of match (i.e. try Conquest if you're trying Breakthrough or go to Portal if that doesn't work) - although I don't think I've seen anyone try for almost 10 hours to connect...
I get that you're really not happy with the game but it can't be healthy to be so annoyed about it, right? Then again, you might not be actually angry and it might be the way it comes across over text replies - but I can't see how continuing to be so invested in something you clearly don't like can be good for you. I stopped playing Warzone because my wife said every time I was playing it sounded like I was having an awful time!
Surely give it 12 months and see where it's at then? It might be a more refined experience and match your expectations, it might not.
The sentry turret is currently the bane of my life. Although I will admit the Boris T1 skin does look really nice.I wouldn't know - I'm a Boris kinda guy (not that one obv.)

Team mate drives past me in a mav, falls through the ground and vanishes never to be seen again...... I crash to desktop

Cold hard truth, from Gerard.I'm not invested in it at all, I just browse reddit occasionally and more often than not a video of 2042 surfaces showing it to be a farce that i post on here. I've not even used my pc in about 3 weeks now, no inclination for gaming at the minute.
As for being angry, if anything I find the whole situation comical, this was expected to be the big return to modern combat and they ****** it up royally, much like battlefield v was the big return to ww2 on the pc for near 20 years and they spent more time making it a political statement. Though its still 10x more a battlefield game than this abomination.![]()
EA have pledged to fix the game, and considering the size of the playerbase of the earlier titles still, perhaps a 2042 revival is possible. I think if they fix all the major bugs, add more map variety in the form of some infantry focused maps, and overhaul the player movement slightly it could work. Is it totally likely, or is EA's 'Commitment' just a steady stream of content for 2 years to keep it murmuring? I hope not! It has the core of a decent BF title.
But like I said other BF titles have a huge userbase and perhaps some will be tempted over if they fix the game and add mapsTheir large planned patch is what, 3-4 months away? The game will long be forgotten about by then. Just a distant epic fail memory.
Still mind boggling how game developers and publishers still haven't learned that first impressions are hugely important for a game long term health and profitability. They are just greedy and lazy and want the quick buck.
