*** The Official Battlefield 2042 thread***

Im sitting at 99-100% CPU usage on the new map, its a stutterfest and totally unplayable for me.
Yes my 8600K is hardly high spec but ive never had an issue before this update.

It used to run buttery smooth for me but since the big patch they brought out in september it's a stutterfest - lots of people say the same on the EA forums.

Just put my daughter to bed and noticed this is now available on EA Play - Gonna fire it up and give it another chance!

So performance has 100% improved for me on my 5800x and 3070 - playing at 1440p. Previously I had everything at the lowest settings and would average around 130fps - but since this season, playing at those settings and I'm at a solid 145-150.

I've actually just changed changed my graphic preset to a mix of medium and high as that means it's around the 130/135 mark that I was using before, but just looks better!

I have the same setup and CPU usage is now ~80-90% causing stutters on spearhead. similar to how the game was at launch.

Really enjoying myself, just got my first T1 weapon badge and sitting at level 47 since Tuesday. Had some crashes/DC's which have been annoying but am not feeling the performance issues otherwise(5900x/3080ti/C2@4K).

Any overclock on GPU? Or anything PBO related on the CPU? I've read a few things about stutters from this last patch being linked to that.

Amazed that with mostly medium and a few low settings with vysnc on, I am getting a pretty solid 60fps on some maps. Orbital is horrible as it Arica Harbour (unfortunately). Quick question - was thinking of buying a new monitor. Would my current kit struggle with a refresh rate of 144hz on the new monitor? Do you need to be getting around that in fps to get the best of the monitor?

So I didn't have to buy the game to try it - it comes free on Game Pass.

Played it for around 10h over weekend and it's not bad I must say.
Although flying heli is rly - rly rly bad comparing to bf4. Two totally different games in the air.

Overall 6/10 but will give it a go and maybe will change my mind.

And CPU optimization does s I_I CK
