*** The Official Battlefield 2042 thread***

Played again for the first time in a few weeks and enjoyed it. No issues with hit reg from my end. Event is pretty lackluster but you can finish the 3 objectives in a few rounds so no real problem.

I've played about 30h now on ground (can't get into helis ^^) and really enjoying it tbh. Defo enjoying it more than bf3 and 4 on the ground.

Had a frustrating game yesterday where I couldn’t quite work out why I was getting repeatedly beamed by one bloke in a hovercraft so much. Turns out he’s 77-0 and very blatantly cheating!

Lots of people in chat noticed it though so I think there were a fair few reports - logged in this morning to a notification that someone I reported was banned! And can’t find their account on my recent players any more.

Good to see EA/Dice take quick action but annoying to even be an issue in the first place.

I am enjoying the conquest assault event too, plays quite nicely without any air vehicles.

Where do you find this info dude? :)
It's when you login to 2042, the Origin client pops up and has a notification from EA and says 'we've taken action against a player you've reported' and that's it!

I don't report people all that often (maybe 3 times since 2042 came out?) but that's how I've received the alert each time.

Terrible just now, both squad mates said nope it's ****ed

I shot a rocket 6 times at a tank and it went straight through EVERY time! Ping was 36ms

This is currently about £16 on steam sale for base game but ultimate is £44.99

Is ultimate even worth it? You used to get extra maps and stuff but I understand that isn't the case anymore. I'm not a hardcore gamer just do it every now and then will I notice much difference?

Cheers

Yeah. I'm in the same boat. Debating whether the premium version is worth the £16.

I think the only benefit to premium is you'll get the season passes automatically included and a few extra specialist skins and weapon skins.

I'm not certain but it also might give you the extra 4 new specialists that were introduced post launch - but if it doesn't the in-game challenges to unlock them are really easy.

I'd probably say to go with the standard version!

Thanks, it's cheaper on epic games store as well once you go through to checkout if you haven't already purchased?

Is there really any disadvantage to getting it on epic games though other than steam? Other than online friends?

Nope, it all ends up in the same player pool! I bought on Origin as that's where I have all my BF games - but force of habit more than anything.

I'm currently at almost 400 hours of playtime on 2042... so I feel like I've got good value for money out of my purchase!

Breakthrough Chaos is up for the week and it's the first instance I've had where hitreg has been a major issue, at least to the point where I could fully identify shots not landing. Gamemode is definitely pushing their servers to it's limits, a lot of fun but yeah....direct shots not landing makes for a bit of a frustrating run when going for headshots. Still, 5-6 matches and weeklies were done.

Battlepass completed and nearly on T2 for the season, it's been fun.

Apart from dealing with a cheater that everyone was going on about in the server... I just had my first complete computer lock up and reboot! Haven't had one of those before on this system
