*** The Official Battlefield 2042 thread***

So similar to COD with the battlepass.
If you just want to play the game, standard is fine i take it? By the sounds of it there are no weapons to level up / unlock anyway

yea, basic is fine, specialists is a nice touch upon and locked away a bit.
I suspect they are trying to do a lot of add on packs to buy for those that want to look different and utilize specialists.
I will get the gold as it adds some value.
Ultimate is just for the crazy ones ;)

Im not sure how i feel about the tornado flying through the town... where it seems like a cool idea i wonder how its going to affect the map / terrain..

Will be waiting to see what kind of buggy mess it'll be on release before purchase.
One thing you can always depend on with each new BF is that it takes a good 6 months for them to fix it.

Have just got round to watching the trailer and must say I'm not impressed. It will no doubt be better than bfv but i dont think thats hard to achieve.

will wait to make a choice on buying it untill a few more game play videos have come out.

It's pretty stupid, so is the running around near a rocket taking off

I like leveloution, but they went full retard with it.

I wasn't particularly taken by the trailer. I'm a bit of a FPS purist so it looks like they might have gone a bit OTT including stuff like a tornado... I'll keep an eye out for some gameplay footage before deciding whether to get involved.

Isn't that every game these days
Hopefully you can turn off these weather events, not sure I want to be flying around like some demented bat.:p

That's the time to buy it - half price and mostly working.

The extreme weather events etc is a bit ridiculous - although BF3/4 had some sandstorms which I see has reappeared.

Make a decent shooter without all this other rubbish.

Sucked up in a tornado then fly out of it in a wingsuit. You'd be a porcupine of debris if you got sucked up in a tornado. Stupid.

If you were that close to a launching rocket - you'd be deaf and shell shocked soon as they lit the pipes on that.

DOn't think i'll be getting this one unless more gameplay trailers can convince me.

Can't stand games with 'spotting' and mini maps either. So hopefully a hardcore mode and infantry only mode too.

on the subject of tornadoes - although the gameplay trailer looked cool it could also be darn annoying... That said one of BFV's good points was the weather effects that completely changed the look, feel and atmosphere of the map and gameplay, which i really liked.

I suspect the Tornado/Sandstorm will have very limited effect unless you get close to it. With the size of the map it might only mean 10-20% of the map becomes unplayable for air vehicles which could mean lots of in building infantry fighting when/if it happens. It might not be a bad thing.

Well after the last cluster **** BFV surely they are going to listen to the main subject that keeps coming up (cheating). All I ask for is to at least try to make an effort this time.

Might be harder now that the source code has been leaked. Regardless, no 3rd party servers with admins to manage cheaters means it'll still be a **** show.
