Source code is released - so even bots will be able to work out cheats

If the source code is freely online - this game is borked from the start where hacking is concerned.

Gonna need cheats to play it. It'll release as 'Hacklefield 6'

That doesnt sound at all like BR to me, the key feature of BR is that its a last man(squad) standing mode. Thats the very definition of BR. Theres nothing in the description above which makes any mention of last man standing. In fact, the games Post Scriptum, Squad and Hell Let Loose fit the description of squad based gameplay where good comms are needed and sweaty palm tension building moments and none of them are in any way BR. That description doesnt sound like BR to me, not without the last man standing feature, without last man standing it quite literally isnt BR. I suspect folks who desperately want a BR mode are reading too much into it and will be disappointed

The rumours I've heard are that its going to be a mode similar to Escape from Tarkov, which would make a certain amount of sense, fits with the Hazard Zone name and would be a squad based high stakes mode where good comms is vital.

I would be quite happy with that actually but Tarkov is so niche that they might not take that risk. Without all the systems around tarkov such as the stash and the mild rpg elements what is the incentive to actually play it?

And let the community design a couple of maps, Outbreak in BF4 will always be one of my favourites. CTF was just mental.

I would be quite happy with that actually but Tarkov is so niche that they might not take that risk. Without all the systems around tarkov such as the stash and the mild rpg elements what is the incentive to actually play it?

No idea really, its just a rumour I'm seeing. The only thing I'm sure of is that it wont be BR. I did see a few people saying it might be a rainbow siege sort of thing but theres a lot of speculation going around.

Totally agree.... id like to see caspian border again... a few commuity maps would be amazing

not sure about bf2042 yet... bf4/3 are my favorites so nice to see that setting again but some red flags for me such as specialist/hero classes which I hate and bots filling multiplayer games. no crossplay so cant play easily with mates (but could also be a good thing, no crazy aim assist people everywhere). will have to see more info

I haven’t seen crossplay mentioned, but I haven’t seen it explicitly denied either?

I wonder how the bots will work. Would be nice if they could be turned off completely. I get they want to flesh out some of the games, especially on larger maps, but I worry it would just be too easy with bots.

I haven’t seen crossplay mentioned, but I haven’t seen it explicitly denied either?

The rumours are that console crossplay will exist but no crossplay between PC and consoles. Apparently.

Kinda rubbish if that is the case as the best thing about Warzone is the fact that we can all play together. Some mates may be pushed to getting PCs.

That's a shame. I often play with mates who are on console. If this isn't full crossplay then none of us will bother with it I would think.

Hopefully from whatever server browser we’re required to use you can see the number of real players in a game. Shouldn’t be hard to find near full servers that way.

Do it like Apex. Consoles play together, console player only joins a PC lobby if they squad up with a PC player at which point they’ll be in PC lobbies only.

RSP is an absolute must for me, but can you imagine filling a 128 player server without bots?

No way it can compete with Apex, Warzone and Fornite then. Crossplay across all platforms has become kind of necessary. If you try to google Battlefield 2042 after the obvious suggestions like release date etc. cross play pops up. It's by far the most sought out feature gameplay wise.

I know for a fact me and 3 other mates won't touch it unless it has cross play.
