*** The Official Battlefield 2042 thread***

Guys would you say between 70-90 FPS at 1440p with a 1080ti and a Ryzen 1700 at Ultra sounds about right?

Future Frames enabled as well.

BF V this is.

Just recently bought a 1080ti and looking at other benchmarks on YouTube it seems a little on the low side to me but I'm not sure.

The 1700 is what is holding it back. Going to a 5600x would be like 50% more efficient in CPU power for gaming. Also ultra is extremely demanding and most players actually play on low settings for competitive reasons. Jackfrags made a good video called ultimate try hard guide. I believe that may help you massively.

But I would say 70-90 is extremely good I think a 3080 gets around 120-140 FPS with a 5600x at 1440p and ultra.

Thanks very much for the reply mate. That's reassured me a bit. The only thing holding me back from getting a new CPU is I'd have to get a new motherboard as well, would end up being a costly upgrade.

Not really the b450 tomahawk is only £40-£60 right now iirc from ocuk that is brand new. Put your current CPU into it and upgrade to latest bios.

Then pick up a second hand 3600 for around £100. Get a 3600x for around £120.

You are talking £150 and it's a substantial upgrade.

Looks good, but doesn't it seem like there is a severe lack of recoil on that gun? Saw him take out distant targets with auto fire... The hipfire itself is dead on too, almost no recoil.

The guy that grappled up the building around 4.25 looked invincible whilst he was grappling.

Hmmm....

Aha those dogs are autonomous moving turrets, they are going to annoy the hell out of me.

Cant say I am surprised, theres a lot of money to be made from selling cheats, its simple supply and demand, there are so many people who want to cheat that it makes it a viable industry. I've just come to expect it from every online shooter these days. I've said many times on this and other forums what the best ways to impact cheats are but as I've also said before the companies will never do those things so we just have to put up with it

As the source code was leaked online months ago the game is over before it started. It's a hackers dream to have the source code.

Paying for this game is insanity.

Looked a bit more into the anti cheat and apparently they were testing it during the tech playtest. https://www.easy.ac/en-us/

I noticed apex on there, I don't play it myself but does anyone else? Does it feel like there are lots of cheaters on this game?

edit: fortnite is in there too, same question

There are cheaters in Apex yes, but it's not as rife as COD

If a cheat website has some text to say "We haz cheat", without any actual proof then I remain sceptical

It's a good LOL on the people who are willing to actually pay money for something like that if they get ripped off

It's not like its a large leap to believe they have cheats ready for it, battlefield games since they went to frostbite have had cheats in the "beta" versions for quite some time. You could say the beta is a testing ground for getting cheats up and running for the most part. If anything it would be more surprising if they didn't have cheats given the data leak a few months back and the frostbite engine being about as secure as a wet paper bag in that respect.

That's fair, but I still think people would be very stupid to pay for something based on a few bullet points. Even when you ignore the fact that cheaters are the lowest life forms.

I'm sure many will though ha

HWID and IP bans can be bypassed by spoofing software, but surely there must be a way to secure an engine. Control inputs must be the hardest (aimbots) because you've got to distinguish the instruction from regular inputs, but other stuff like wall hacks or radar must be interrogating/injecting/modifying game engine code. I don't understand why it's not all encrypted properly. Performance?

You can get decent anti cheat if you actually spend time and money on it.

Or have self policing system like csgo overwatch

not as rife. hackers actually hacked apex because the cheating was so bad to put a message in game about it. all fps will have cheaters in it. its just down to whether it really effects your enjoyment.

battlefield will have cheaters in it. hopefully with good admins and tools they can be banned and servers kept as clean as they can be.
