*** The Official Battlefield 5 thread***

Ok so turns out when the squad is full, there is no way to join your friends, not even able to join the server they are on..... You can only join on friends when the squad isn't full.

Bravo dice, bravo.....

Back to the wild west I go.

They really need to bring back 5 man squads...........

It's like I said earlier, DICE talk about wanting people to play with their friends, and then make it significantly harder than it used to be to try and prevent servers being rolled. At least in bf1 they would just stack all of the other good players on the other team but still let you play on the same team.

It is possible to join the same server as a full squad of your mates, but if it decides to put you on the other team, you'll be there until you or your mates leave. Trying to rejoin doesn't appear to work, IME it just puts you back on the wrong team.

The four man squad system is also worse when one or two of your squad decide it's time to go tanking or flying.

Probably something they put in to counter clan groups from dominating on servers with coordinated squads.

That WAB video has already been posted 3 times on the previous page.

If you wanted a good battlefield review guys, then this isn't it. It's just a self entitled rant from someone who doesn't appear to be a good player. ;)
Found a lot of value in that review personally. Watching twitch is also highlighting this games flaws and the fact you have sponsored streamers switching it off immediately when the time ends to go play that new horror game says it all...

Not for me, this series lost its only redeeming features many sequels ago it seems.

I loved the medic class in BF1 and mastered the semi auto rifles. Trying my best with the G43 but it seems this game is even more spray and pray than BF1.

Definitely more spray and pray in BFV, that’s for sure.

What??? come again

Get a gun in BFV, aim at the same point on a wall and tap fire, every bullet will go exactly where the dot is. Do the same in bf1 you'll see 1 bullet hit where you are aiming and the rest will be spread all around the cone.

Skill players will control the recoil in BFV, the cream will rise to the top in every firefight yet in Bf1 it's luck of the draw or who can hold down the mouse button the longest to finally get the bullets going more on target.

It's not even just the spread, it's the fact that you actually have to ADS in bf 5 again unlike in bf 1.

In bf 1, I never ever ADS no matter what the distance was when using assault weapons, was zero point as you just put yourself at a disadvantage, this was even more evident when using the likes of the annihilator, if you ADS with that thing, all you had was an ugly ass iron sight with awful recoil but hip fire...... zero recoil and pin point accuracy (for a bf 1 gun anyway), same for the automatico and don't even get me started on the shotguns...... The only weapons which benefited from ADS in bf 1 were DRMs, sniper rifles and some of the LMGs.

OMG ROFL tanks in BFV are a freaking JOKE. Besides the slow turret speed and limited ammo, you shoot at someones feet and it does ZERO damage to them LOL. And the tank machine gun is so pathetic, bullets spray everywhere besides where you are aiming. You literally have to shoot someone in the FACE with a tank round to kill them.

As a long time BF tank player, this game is pathetic.

The automatic weapons are far more accurate at range than they were in BF1. Semi auto rifles were the go to gun for medium to long range. Automatics can match it now. It is very easy to kill at range with them. I am not saying it is easier than BF1 but semi auto weapons seem kind of redundant in this game whereas they had a use in BF1.

Had no problems racking over 30 kills without a death in the tanks, only issue I've found is sometimes the reticule is off for aiming so you have to adjust and aim off centre

Tank gameplay reminds me a lot of 1942, only thing that's missing really is larger maps, more tanks and the artillery vehicles

I will say however in some aspects it's a better game than 42, mainly being that there's actual cover to hide and sneak in and the ability to build defences is awesome

The splash damage on some tank shells does seem weird, there's times you can hit a few feet away from someone and it does no damage. Not sure if its down to the round used or possibly some geometry on the map that's stopping the damage from being transferred to the enemy. Already found a couple of spots on some maps where you can basically disappear into a clump of rocks as infantry.
