*** The Official Battlefield 5 thread***

I picked it up and played it for a bit and i'm not feeling this Battlefield game at all, i'm having more enjoyment in Battlefront 2.

It's definitely a step back in the series, imo. If I didn't get it with my GPU I wouldn't have played any beyond the end of my Origin Premier month.

I got 70 hours out of it, but I'm pretty much over it I think

Lack of good maps is really making the game a yawnfest. Certain maps like Hamada more often than not the server empties out when they roll around. I was in a server last night with a full map on rotterdam, panzerstorm came up next and it ended up having about 15 people on it.

It's now 23.99 on CD keys but I'll wait a little longer for it to drop more. 15 is a good biting point at this rate it will be there soon

Managed to set up my joystick last night and had a really good time flying (much to my surprise!) really enjoyed it - after a good hour or more on the practice range getting everything right - reminded me of my old Combat Flight Simulator days!

Prefer BF V to BF1 but prefer 4 over either, and Bad Company is still my favourite “modern” BF game although my go to is still Battlefield 2, I just wish they’d remake that.

It is if the flags stay defended. Usually it's just a circular romp from one to the other as ownership changes hands as soon as the attackers leave. Gets kind of boring after a while!

Yup, and this was one of the reasons fortifications were added, so that you could set up defenses for the areas you capped. Conquest is just a merry go round now and it's hard to see how they can change this. Flaghopping has always been in the game but it's become much worse over the last 2 releases.

The few games I played I always ended up isolated and on my own .Everybody just runs around in different directions. Some of the large maps feel so empty because visibility is so poor and you end up walking in cattle tracks between rocks. All of the great conquest maps in previous games (excluding bf1 because I hated it too) always brought the main battle to a Central point in the map. What's the point in having large maps with 64 players if everybody is spread all over the map doing there own thing?. It takes way to long to die and get back in the action. Plus the lack of dedicated servers managed by people who actually care about the game. This franchise is broken and I don't know if it will every recover.

I think I'm now ready for a new modern or future Battlefield game again. WW2 is fun but I miss the weapon varieties you get with a newer game.
You could try WW3 if you haven't already. It's a bit clunky still as it's still sort of in development but it gives you a buzz nontheless.

This is it for me. The guns are boring. I pretty much only play assault or medic and I don't like any of the scopes so my guns are always iron sight only. That gets boring fast and it's even more boring that unlike in BF4 you're limited to only a few weapons.

You could switch up the classes a lot. I enjoyed playing a recon but using a Carbine or playing a Engineer using a DMR. Just felt like a lot of variety
