*** The Official Battlefield 5 thread***

I could never justify spending £800 on a 1080Ti when they came out as my 1 year old SLI was working for me in BF, but I was determined to get off the low power SLI cycle at some point. The new card comfortably smashes my old SLI setup in everything, so I'm happy if poorer. I did make a few quid selling my 1070s though which softened the blow.

Indeed. It's actually a logical upgrade from what you had, I just can't support that kinda price gouging in the pc space.

as long people support and buy overpriced hardware they can keep raising prices.
stop buying and they wont raise prices.

BFV seems to me to be passed by PUBG and Fortnite as todays battlefields.
DICE (sry sold out to EA) didn't innovate enough.
a game serie I loved and was an ace and unbeatable isn't a buy anymore.

Ditto. I sold my X fire 290's so paying the (OC 'subsidised' rate) £750 for the 1080ti didn't kick as much. And god, it's fabulous having one card putting out 65C rather than two bunging out 95C each, especially this summer!

Paying more for ***** that doesn't work.

Goes to options > turns off > money well spent - not! :p

I am really confused as to when this game comes out... I have 23rd of nov on my calendar. I have read the edition I want is out the 15th/16th. The ToS still say Oct so no help there. I am planning on buying the deluxe edition but it also says I get it earlier if I pre-order??

What happend to the days a game just got released and we all piled on the servers :O

The game got delayed, it wasn't going to be ready in time. Current release schedule is below:

Enter mankind’s greatest conflict on Xbox One, PlayStation®4, and PC. On November 9, play the full game with Origin Access Premier or try it as part of the EA Access and Origin Access Play First Trials***. Or, join the fight on November 15 with Battlefield V Deluxe Edition early enlister access, or November 20 with the Battlefield™ V Standard Edition.

There's a certain irony to the level of diversity signalling going on in the stories and then getting a British male actor with a gravelly voice to do the voice over. I'm fine with there being diversity in the game, but they do seem to be pushing it a bit far. Just hope it plays well. The single player is a sideshow in BF anyway.

3 weeks mate, 3 weeks

3 weeks 2 days. Then we get the buggy release and a whole load of headless chicken blueberries for 3 months or so before we really get a clue as to whether it is or isn't a good game ;)

Since bf1 premium was free recently it's been infested with "But meh KD bro" players who don't think that the point of the game might be to try and win it. :(

I like that kind of opposition though, makes my job getting the objective and win ratio up easier :D

We really need 5 man squads though, I don’t like 4.

I'm not a fan of 4 man squads either. It only takes one squad member to play biggles for a while and your struggling with 3. (In a game which has significantly enhanced the power of a good squad with the squad revive feature)

Just been watching the single player videos popping up, my god I'm bored already. Is it to difficult to make a single player campaign with all the focus on epic historical battles that happened during the war? And my god, the horrendous dialogue in game  some of the voice over work just makes me squirm it's so bad. Modern day gaming and story telling for today's society is a complete embarrassment to where it was 20 years ago.

When are we getting another Brothers In Arms title?

Lying dead on the ground.... Incoming Medic... Medic stands 2 feet away from you ..... then runs off again.

Same for the ring of snipers at the edge of the map sniping away but as far away from the objective as it is possible to get. Really annoying.

I've seen high level clan players only picking up members of their own squad, presumably to increase the chance that their squad gets ace squad. It's really dumb given that their best chance is if they're on the winning team, and the best chance of that happening is if they're helping the team as well as their squad. Then there's the supports who destroy other support players ammo bags and mines so that they get the points (rather than just help the team by deploying their ammo or mines at a different but equally useful point). And the people who see you shooting someone and run in front blocking your view on purpose so they can steal your kill. The tanks that drive your motorbike off the road at the start so you can't start capping a flag until they get there (even though your not stupid enough to take a fast vehicle asset to capture the first flag you're heading for a central flag).

When team mates stop competing with each other and start to co-operate, 9/10 times they will get a win.
