*** The Official Bloodborne Thread ***

Just finished my first playthrough, was a bit shocked that I was at the end to be honest, just shy of 52 Hours and level 89, love the game, now onto NG+ :)

Am I the only one thinking that Bloodborne isn't that hard at all and it's pretty much just what games used to be like in the olden days - I'm 36 by the way?

Granted its difficulty is set about where modern games have hard mode (or extreme as a lot of them like to call the one above hard) but I'd argue that those games are to easy.

Another reason I'd say its not as hard as people make out is because there's always something else to do in the game if you're getting your ass kicked in an area. You can go off, do whatever it is then come back later leveled up a bit and progress.

Anyway, I'm just curious if it's me being an old codger or if I'm just awesome at this game?

I was looking at the achievements and I found out.......
That you need to play through the game 3 times to get all of the trophies if you do it legitimately. I doubt a lot of the people who already have a platinum have done 3 play throughs :p

I was wondering this myself, im going for the plat and wouldnt be able to sleep if i did it in a cheaty sort of way, enjoying my 2nd play through and for 3rd ill make a new character :)

Did the hardest bit on my first play tbh! Once you know where to go you can breeze through though, im at Rom in after about maybe 3hours which is crazy compared to my first run where i was exploring and doing everything i could :)

You can get the Plat with multiple playthroughs quite quickly actually.

consider this - my first playthrough of Dark souls 1 or 2 was around 40 hours, but in NG+ I went through in only 4-5 hours.
90% of the items in the world do not need to be collected, all enemy and boss strategies are known and despite how it's meant to be, NG+ is always easier IMO.

My first run in Bloodborne was about 40 hour or so but did NG+ and NG++ in just a few hours each.

I've watched others to runs and realised that I must have a really good mind mapping and exploration sense because I found all the items in the world and all paths quite quickly and never got lost. The only place I didn't find legit was the Old Workshop where you do a running jump and lose 90% of health into a dark pit to find the door - my mate seen it while trying to get down to the bottom. Another interesting place most will miss!

The longest part is getting the Chalice dungeons done - if you are not going to ever do this, I'd suggest looking up who the boss is.

Despite the chalice dungeons being optional, the end boss for the trophy is heavily related to the story plot which is weird given how long it takes to get there.

I hope they expand on this with DLC

bought this yesterday with the 10 off Sony store thing

good so far - but I'm rather surprised how "un-smooth" it seems in play- was expecting next gen and that for it to be low frame rate but consistent - but I'm not impressed

I felt the same way for about an hour, I don't even notice it now.

My experiance exactly mate :) finished the first play in 35-40hours which included exploring everywhere and managed to find most items i think! (need 1 more for hunter tools achievement)

Its much quicker when u know which areas are optional and which arent

Dreding the chalice achievement, sounds tough :)

Finished this yesterday also, had a few problems with Ebrietas and Gehrman mind. Cracking game, but I doubt i'll be playing through NG+.

After a few more hours of grinding, and ranking up,I'm now level 32 I went offline, ran to the church where BSB is, and summoned Alfred not sure how much help he was in terms of damage, but I finally beat it.

Liking the Chalice dungeons. Had my first attempt this morning and managed 3 bosses. Got to layer 3 and lost my way a bit so will have another go at it later.

I saw the message about ringing the bell but never actually saw the bell.

It means the beckoning bell

I found the BSB a bit too easy with Alfred, you can just let him distract him and then nip in/out to attack before the poison kicks in and with a bit of patience he goes down. Think I only needed one vial in the end.

For those getting annoyed about the BSB - I spent ages on it and Gascoine but did the next two bosses in 2-3 attempts each

Amazon emailed again, guide pushed back even further now. Exactly what the did to me with regards to the dark souls 2 book up until they then just said its not coming lol. Meh dont need it but wanted it on my shelf

Pewdiepies latest bloodborne vid was pretty funny, he wasnt getitng on well with BSB :D

Oh, I did summon another player I thought that was the only use for it

It is mainly used for that yeah, i had one go at BSB with a guy i summoned and he had also summoned someone, i still died :o Alfred helped in the end.

Met my first guy with the flame thrower, did'nt even touch him and i died :D

Made some progress today. Managed the 3 hunters and the old one, reborn. Opened up the last headstone.. 43 hours in now and loving it more and more.
