Eubank Jr talks ****, just like his Dad. The Benn fight is everything Eubank looks for in a fight - on paper it's a big fight because of the opponents name but in reality it's a fight he should win comfortably. He's shown for years that all he wants to do is fight names who are well past their sell by date or in Benn's case, half his size. He has no interest in fighting any top middle/super middleweights because he knows he'll get slapped about again like Groves did to him.
From Benn's point of view I'm not sure if it's a really smart business move or a sign of desperation. A fight vs Eubank, because of their dad's, is likely to be the biggest fight of both their careers from a financial point of view and it's possibly a case of make it now or it never happening. As Eubank gets older he'll struggle to come down in weight so this may have been the only chance to make the fight. Or is it a case that Hearn simply can't make any major fights for Benn? Outside of the UK Benn's name doesn't carry much clout and I suspect there's going to be a fair few up and coming fighters getting frustrated with Hearn in the coming months and years. It's hard to build a fighter when they're fighting on DAZN with tiny viewing figures and in turn it's then hard to pay for those big fights. It's different with your AJ's and Canelo's, these guys have the following that will come over to DAZN (albeit on PPV) but fighters a rung or two below them?
