I don’t think they have enough UK cards for it. I’m seeing 2 a month atm and most are nothing too exciting.

I also think AJ will have one fight on the normal service and then be switched to £25 PPV’s.
I like the concept I just don’t think boxings ready for it and fighters want ever increasing purses, it’s hard to do what Hearn had set out to do without subscribers joining on mass. Boxing is still relatively a niche for the numbers to work I’m guessing.

I'm not sure if clever or sneaky is the right word but all DAZN are doing with this price increase/changes is making the Joshua fight PPV without it being PPV. They know there's lots of casual fans that want to watch Joshua but who aren't going to sign up for a year to DAZN so this pricing structure means that those fans are paying the typical £20 PPV price to watch Joshua and the tiny number of hardcore fans will be pushed into committing to a 1 year contract rather than not being tied in.

The whole sales pitch about DAZN making boxing cheaper for fans was always a load of bull**** to all but a handful of people but it's now at the stage where it's hugely more expensive for the majority. Pre DAZN the majority were watching boxing essentially for free - they were paying their Sky sub primarily for the football and boxing was a bonus and if they wanted, they could pay £20-25 a few times per year for the PPV events. Now it's been fragmented and you're having to pay either an extra £100 up front or £20 per month to watch broadly the same content. Lets just hope DAZN don't end up with 10-20 PL games in the next rights sale or else that £20 per month will probably become £30.

Personally, I’ve much preferred Sky’s Boxxer cards lately than Eddie’s UK offerings. And the Yarde fight on BT was a classic.

Looking forward to Azim on Sky this Saturday

yeah, me too, i rate highly of Azim, the only thing that gets me, is when he celebrates after his K.O. without seeing the opponents condition beforehand.

Tommy Fury missed the presser... Are we going to see him fight?!
I hope so. Looking forward to Jake embarrassing him.

If DAZN had more content it would be worth it. I was really optimistic about the service when it first came to the UK but seeing as over here it really heavily relies on boxing, the content has been very weak

Well we starting to pay for every fight now next and it's not cheap.

The longer this fight takes to get made, the more I believe Fury is genuinely worried about the challenge Usyk brings. I wont say any boxer is scared as none of them are scared of each other but I do believe they'll swerve another fight if it hurts their brand.

Funny how he made such a song and a dance about the negotiations with Joshua because he just had to fight Usyk in February.... I really wish I could warm to Fury but he is such a clown.

One of the few times I’ll be cheering on a foreigner over a Brit. I’m sick of his WWE style antics, just get the fight done so the rest of the division can move on.
