Fury’s no fool he doesn’t need to go near an octagon and won’t be anytime soon. They come to boxing for a payday, It doesn’t happen the other way around.

I don’t think these crossover matches are good for either sport. Neither champion has anything to prove and outside of a lucky upset nothing to gain. I assumed the MMA guys would be well paid.

It’s good for the individuals and those that make money off and through them and that’s about it. The sport loses, the fans lose and it promotes people picking and choosing fights for money rather than integrity.

We need stronger governance but I’m afraid the WBC in this case have been paid off to allow it so that’s not going to happen.

The MMA guys fight. Dana gets well paid, the fighters not so much. It's what I like about boxing. The ones taking the risks can make obscene amounts of money. In the UFC Dana gets a lot and gives the fighters scraps

Oh dear Uncle Bob’s comments have come back to bite him again. No wonder he’s been so quiet recently.

I ask you a question. Would you put any money into a card that matches an extremely good professional boxer, if not the best in Mayweather, fighting against a guy who’s never had one professional boxing match? It’s lunacy. It’s ridiculous. Even the commission allowing it is ridiculous.

If they fought in MMA with the wrestling and the kicking and so forth, Floyd wouldn’t have a chance against McGregor. As a boxing match, McGregor has no chance against Mayweather. Are you crazy? Here’s a guy who is an experienced professional fighter fighting a guy who’s had not one professional boxing match.

McGregor couldn’t beat anybody in my gym. He’d go into the gym, pick any of those fighters – he couldn’t beat one of them. So how does he come to fight Floyd Mayweather? I mean it’s a farce. What shouldn’t happen is to denigrate the sport of boxing to a point where it becomes farce, and a Mayweather-McGregor fight is farce.”

So all the talk from Hearn and Benn about how Benn wants to go through the BBBoC/UKAD process and is going to clear his name was all bull***. They're still doing everything they can to prevent a UKAD hearing taking place. The hearing that Benn's just had, with a verdict due imminently, was his team trying to get the UKAD case against him thrown out, claiming as the tests he failed were VADA tests and because he's not licensed by the BBBoC, it doesn't fall under UKAD's jurisdiction.

I hope, if he's successful with this, that the board continue to refuse to license him to fight in the UK and put up all possible obstacles to prevent him fighting any BBBoC licensed fighters.

Yep. Look, I'm not naive and I expect, at the top level, a lot of my favourite boxers are on or have been on the juice. But if you're stupid enough to get your cycle wrong and get caught; you need to put your hands up and admit to the wrong doing and take the punishment. Unless you can prove it was a mistake with cross contamination or supplements that were approved but had been contaminated (think a UFC guy did this)

What Team Benn and Hearn are doing is treating us like idiots. One moment it wasn't in his system, then it was blamed on eggs which he denied... now they're blaming the eggs again but forgetting that the substance isn't even allowed within UK Farms.

It would've went so much better for Benn had he just held his hands up and served his ban, people would've moved on. But the whole drama he has caused? He rightly deserves the book thrown at him and I'd be shocked if it's anything less than a 2 year ban or if he's in a UK BBBoC approved ring before the end of 2024

He doesn't even need to hold his hands up. Just put his evidence to UKAD and let there be a hearing into the charges - if he's cleared then goodluck to him and if not then he needs to serve his time. He's had his team doing the rounds in the media claiming he can prove his innocence but all he's done and is doing is trying to put obstacles in the way of a hearing taking place. As above, I just hope that if he's successful in getting the UKAD case against him dismissed on the grounds of jurisdiction (which is entirely possible) that the board stick to their guns and refuse to license any fights in the UK or vs a BBBoC licensed fighter. Sadly I'm not convinced that they will be able to.

For me that goes to Lenox or Joe Calzaghe but in terms of most exciting? Naz in a league of one.
They had better careers? But in terms of talent, excitement he is one of a kind. Lost to Barrera at the end but by that time his heart had left and he barely trained.

Didn’t Lewis class himself as Canadian anyway.

Usyk is such a classy guy. We can't seem to produce people/boxers of that class. Naseem's reaction compared to the respect you can see in Usyk's expression says it all.

We don’t celebrate class very much we like clownery more. Class equals lack of personality where as acting like a fool is the opposite.

They had better careers, longevity and beat top opposition. I do think if Naz remained dedicated to his craft he would have an argument to be top of the tree but you just can't overlook what both the aforementioned fighters did and who they both beat. In terms of the excitement he had in the ring and even in terms of the type of entertainer he is even with his ring entrances, he stands alone. But if you're just judging his in the ring accolades, he doesn't belong next to Lenox and Joe.

Lewis was Born in the UK, represented Canada at the Olympics but I believe he himself classes himself as British. And we're absolutely claiming him as he is just top class.
