He’s been dropped by a novice and by all accounts it sounds like he lost. I didn’t bother watching the fight mostly cause I dislike Fury but because I thought it would be Mayweather vs mcgreggor but in that Mayweather carried Conor.

I’m absolutely delighted with the result. I’ve been saying for years on this thread that I don’t understand the pedestal some of you put fury on and I’ve always felt like AJ can beat him. This reinforces that. If a flipping boxing novice can do that to you what is a 2x world champion capable of going.

Couldn’t have happened to a nicer man. Love it.

You are delighted the result? A fury win :D

That's all the records will show. All be it a terrible performance from fury

AJ is done mate. Has been for a few years. Not smart enough, if he's lucky he might get one more big fight against wilder, but one hard punch and that's all over for AJ

A win about as much as his first McDermott win. He looks like a complete idiot. This was supposed to be a money in the bank tickover. Not get dropped and walk away with a split decision.
At least AJ actually faces stiff competition. Doing that and you may come up short. What's Fury's excuse for pretty much getting beaten by a novice to the sport.

If AJ had put up a performance like this agaisnt a UFC novice he'd be rightly crucified.

Fury has been in with two of the biggest punchers in the world

His record still reads 3 wins and a draw

Aj got banged out by a burger eating champion and since then is scared to throw his hands

AJ was good when he was a bit younger. Not aged well, because he's not smart enough. That's why he's lost most of his last 5 fights. Should retire. Not got a boxing brain

For me that fury fight was shocking. But he got the win to go into the undisputed. I don't think fury will be happy nor will his team.

Hopefully that is the Rocky 3 kick in the butt he needed.

AJ got beat by someone who has a professional career and arguably beat Parker but lost due to the fight being in NZ. Only to someone who DKSAB would they reduce Ruiz to simply being fat. He had exceptionally fast hands.

Fury just lost to someone who has never had a professional boxing fight before.

I'll give him Wilder but I've always said Wilder is a limited fighter. Need to see them both in with more top 10 fighters.

He lost 2 fights to someone who is going to go down as a HOF Cruiserweight and has a good chance to become undisputed at heavyweight along with getting back his revenge over a loss.

AJ beats Fury. Always said it and always believed it. The fact Francis can land says it all.

I doubt AJ will get a chance. Retirement after wilder if he is lucky enough to get that shot.

He is not good enough for fury, maybe his undercard

AJ isn't good enough for Fury but Chisora and Ngannou are?

I don't get what part of what you watched isn't sinking in. Fury got shown up by a boxing debutant. Someone who hasn't fought his main craft in a few years and someone who has just picked up boxing. This was someone's first fight with someone who many view as number 1 in the division yet he was able to drop the champion and make it a close enough affair that people are saying s SD is a robbery.

This is who you are saying other professional boxers aren't good enough for but a debutant is?

Go back and watch how Floyd literally carried Connor until he wanted to end it in the round he placed a bet on. That is how a ATG deals with a debutant and you can argue Floyd was past it at the point as he was 40/41.

I need some of what you guys are smoking. It's OK. Fury can have the 4th fight with Chisora. Give the fans what they want to see then they can hype him up again.

Certainly did not get beat up. Not a great fight. Fury looked real sluggish and ring rusty.

Very rocky 3 !

He's been doing all this Netflix and promoting tour stuff. Needs to get back to spit and sawdust

Face says otherwise, he looked rocked more than Francis not only the knockout , but I get it supposedly more jabs landed gets you the win

Not even one point in that fight did Francis looked rocked by fury, I was waiting and waiting it never came it's like he had no ideas

I guess he's used to taking punches without the padding of boxing gloves

A boxing debutant but an absolute beast of an MMA guy. Does Ngannou beat AJ? Whyte? Wilder?

I didn't see the fight so can't comment.

He should get a chance, if fury keeps telling us he is the best he needs to fight AJ and usyk , yeah I get it they need to load up the bank and pick fights carefully

You said twice you have not watched it. Not saying he was not lucky to get the win, Fury was well below par, thought it would be easy maybe did not take it seriously?

But did enough with his jabs and hits to scrape the rounds and get the split. Could it have gone the other way... Honestly yes.

As I said I hope it's a a wake up for him and a reminder if he wants to box then he needs to be all in and drop some of the celebrity stuff

My point of view is Tyson just and I do mean just about got it on points. Ngannou put up a great defence though so props to him.
I read that and for a moment was wondering why you were talking about Mike?? :D still waking up...

I reckon he'd take Fury! Even at his current age.

Boxing and MMA are not the same sport. A good striker in MMA doesn't mean they'll be a good puncher in boxing. There is a reason Jake Paul is able to fight older MMA legends and put them away. Boxers train soely punching and footwork, nothing else. MMA guys have to train in multiple disciplines. An average boxer should always beat a good MMA striker in the ring and the opposite is also true.

So yes I believe AJ and Wilder, along with most of the top 20 in the world would deal with Francis in the ring. Whyte is shot so as long as Francis could throw an uppercut he'd be food for Francis. But fighters like Sanchez jr, Martin and Anderson? all get him the hell out of there.

I would love to see him face Zhilei Zhang

Na Zhang is moving on to title shots and would also batter Francis like he battered Joyce. I'm all on board the Chinese-Power-train
