Ngannou was better overall but that's not always how boxing works. Fury won more rounds. Not sure why people are saying rigged. It was very close but Fury probably edged enough rounds.

This must feel like a big loss for Fury though.

Were you watching the same fight? Fury barely did anything, he seemed completely over-powered and lost for ideas in there.

Boxing has to be the most corrupt sport going... and it's embarrasing for the sport, someone from a diferent sport has just come and out-boxed the supposed best boxer in the world.

Literally no idea what to think after watching that, I thought Fury would play around with him for a bit and then bulldoze him...

Absolute disgrace of a fight. I also put money on it after 4th round and feel totally robbed. Complete ******** of a sport.

The travesty for the sport is the fact that these matches are being made ahead of the fights that everyone wants to see. Ngannou did not do enough to win that fight. He barely landed a jab the whole fight but countered quite effectively. The knockdown gave him a 10-8 round but I can't think of many he won clearly after that. I gave him the 1st , 4th and a share of the 10th. You could maybe make an argument for another shared round but I can't see how a seasoned judge can give it for Ngannou.
Anyway, fair play to Francis as it was an incredibly impressive debut. Congrats for a great effort.
Thats how you feel.
Strike counters show a different fight.
Verdict fan voting site showed a different winner based on public scoring.

Pretty much every interview post fight, ex boxers, pundits etc gave it to Francis , or none of them like Fury

Fury looked the most beat up hurt from that fight but supposedly thats not how you meant to score it

Passed on watching the fight live, fully expected Fury to handle business with his slippers on. I guess I was wrong.... lol

I reckon we might be seeing a rematch instead of Usyk :p

Ngannou was impressive!

Not sure where all this rigged or joke comments come from. It was a split decision. Fury although not great won more rounds.

I honestly think they both looked terrible.

Ok fury got dropped in the 3rd, but for a number of rounds both fighters barely did anything, it was rubbish.

Fury’s jab never got going properly, Francis just lumbered around with his mouth open in the later rounds.

Not good at all.

Gutted I didn’t watch it after all as it sounds like Fury got beat up and embarrassed.

And people try acting like he is head and shoulders above the division. Hahah need to try and watch this now.

Certainly did not get beat up. Not a great fight. Fury looked real sluggish and ring rusty.

Very rocky 3 !

He's been doing all this Netflix and promoting tour stuff. Needs to get back to spit and sawdust

He’s been dropped by a novice and by all accounts it sounds like he lost. I didn’t bother watching the fight mostly cause I dislike Fury but because I thought it would be Mayweather vs mcgreggor but in that Mayweather carried Conor.

I’m absolutely delighted with the result. I’ve been saying for years on this thread that I don’t understand the pedestal some of you put fury on and I’ve always felt like AJ can beat him. This reinforces that. If a flipping boxing novice can do that to you what is a 2x world champion capable of going.

Couldn’t have happened to a nicer man. Love it.

Francis did well but imo Fury was poor, something wasn't right, i've watched him since 2010 when he was boxing on channel 5 and imo this was the worst performance i've seen from him. I thought Francis deserved the win.

Even at his poorest.. He has been boxing his whole life... He is the consensus #1 heavyweight on the planet. He should've absolutely dealt with a UFC Novice with an arm tied behind his back. Anything other than a UD should be embarrassing.

People give AJ stick for losing to Ruiz Jr but at least he was a life long trained boxer. You can argue that after last night Fury should have 2 or 3 losses on his record.

As someone said already Fury underestimated thought he could just turn up.

Francis though what a debut to boxing to put on that show, I know by the scorecard he lost but he should be immensely proud and he made the entire sports community proud with that I'm sure.

If he's as good as he and his legion of fans make out, that would be enough.

You guys are letting him off far too lightly. For a guy who claims he is the best heavyweight to have ever lived he shouldn't need to get out of first gear to beat a novice. Usyk would've made light work of Francis. Hell, I'd argue the cruiserweight champion, Jai, would deal with him too.

You do not get to make the extraordinary claim of being the best of your era, let alone all time, then go life and death and get dropped by a novice. MMA and Boxing are entirely different sports. It's why a boxing novice in Jake Paul can beat up on MMA fighters in a boxing ring.

Francis can walk away with his head held high knowing he has made the champion look like a complete mug.

The number 1 heavyweight on the planet who no other professional boxer stands a chance with.... There's a reason Fury/Frank swerved the contenders in the WBC rankings.

My schadenfreude will wind down soon but I'm just loving it a bit too much at the moment. This guy has spent years messing the fans and the sport around on top of his compulsive lying and getting a pass with his drug cheat history.
