Has Wallin ever knocked an opponent out? He's nothing more than fodder to make Joshua look good but does he have it in him to look good any more?

Parker's a far livelier opponent but he got wrecked by the doorman and doesn't appear to be the fighter he was a few years ago, expect Wilder to get rid of him the first time he windmills.

Wallin can make it awkward, plus being a southpaw will give AJ issues.

Could be a standard AJ pts win.

Wilder Parker is more interesting for me. Parker will beat Wilder unless the obvious happens.

This is outrageous and shows the current state of boxing. Why exactly are joshua and wilder not fighting each other? I hope everyone boycotts this and it tanks hard.

Not long ago we were told Usyk vs Fury and AJ vs Wilder on the same card and instead we have this. I Hope AJ loses.

Wallins whole record hinges on a dogged loss to Fury, would expect that one to be a turgid AJ points win (cards have probably already been written ;)).

Parker I would imagine will do similar to Ortiz against Wilder, probably easily outbox him until he walks onto one. Wilder is a very hard one to judge though he's had one 3 minute fight in like 2 years and before that had 2 sustained beatings off Fury so who knows how shot he is.

Credit where it's due (though they definitely should have been fighting one another!) this isn't as bad a card as it could have been they're at least 2 live opponents not Latvian bus drivers.

I heard Latvian bus drivers can box?

Decent little card if I'm honest, Wilder/Parker and Dubois/Big baby juicer could be entertaining.
Deontay Wilder versus Joseph Parker

Anthony Joshua versus Otto Wallin

Dubois versus Miller

Dmitry Bivol versus Lyndon Arthur

Filip Hrgovic versus Mark De Mori

Jai Opetaia versus Ellis Zorro

Arslanbek Makhmudov versus Kabayel

Frank Sanchez versus Junior Fa

I mean its a very good card. Not really a "headliner" but still, v strong.

This is going to be a great night of fights. I would've rather seen Buatsi fight Bivol than Lyndon Arthur but the result will be the same. Bivol is just different gravy. Opetaia is becoming a favourite fighter of mine to watch. Guy is on smoke and mean. Last time out he looked like a huge problem so I'm keen to see how he goes on. I can see why Ben Shalom is keeping Riakphore from him!

Very interested to see the Wilder vs Parker fight. We have no idea what Wilder actually has left after those two beatdowns from Fury. We've only seen him fight one round agaisnt a former sparing partner in 2 years. Big question mark over his head to see how much he has left after those wars. I know Parker isn't heavy handed but he can still punch quickly with decent footwork. Nice improvements under Andy Lee despite the shellacking he got from Joe Joyce I think he has some attributes which could cause Wilder problems, until he lands one. Maybe Parker could channel some Tua energy!

AJ vs Wallin should be a fairly straight forward affair. Should, but it's AJ and never straight forward with him. He's just gone 24 rounds with a vastly superior southpaw in Usyk, I don't think that will take too long to suss out. Wallin has put together a nice little run of wins but ultimately he is dining out on that Fury cut.

The only thing I know of Mark De Mori was when David Haye tricked us on the comeback when he was fighting on the channel Dave. Was a decent knockout and the rubbish version of glove to gloves I remember some nonsense with lamb being on the table. Either way Hrgovic will make light work.

It should be Hrgovic vs Makhmudov but it is what it is. I'm not sure what else either of these two guys would've done if not beat people up. Scary looking guys lol

I lurk quite a bit on here, but had to create an account to address something...

Junglist, you are the biggest AJ fanboy, its ******* hilarious...

Wah wah wah, Tyson Fury this, wahh wahh wahh Tyson Fury that, his resume is rubbish, who has he fought, wah wah wah.

Tyson Fury vs Usyk set to be announced...

Joshua fighting Otto Wallin on the same card as Wilder and someone who you probably cried about when Tyson Fought him on one of his COMEBACK fights from being 30 stone and a "prime" AJ is fighting him instead of Wilder, Dubois or Miller.... your response:

"This is going to be a great night of fights"

You kidding me LOL, you call yourself a boxing fan?

Hows about you take AJ's **** out your behind and call it what it is.... its a complete cop out.

Absolute AJ fan boy.

I wont be tuning in thats for sure.

What a brilliant first post. Welcome..

I am an AJ fan, I've never said otherwise so congrats for noticing something I admit... I've also, many times, admitted I can't stand Fury so my posts on him aren't objective... But here we go....

Rather than make man-child noises, break down my argument. This is a place of debate, I welcome it. Tell me where I am wrong.

Tyson Fury vs Usyk set to be announced...
I acknowledged as much on the previous page. I even said Fury would go into that fight as a favourite but I explained my reasons as to why I think Usyk stands a chance. I literally ended my post saying if Fury beats Usyk I will begrudgingly give him his flowers.

I actually had no qualms with Tyson fighting Wallin when he wasn't champion. Sure, he may have paraded the 'lineal' championship as if it meant something but he was not a title holder therefore I don't think it would be fair to criticise him for having Wallin as a rehabilitation fight.

I would've rather he not had that fight and run the rematch with Wilder - which I believe he won all 3 fights - but it is what it is. I'm not going to hold an active champion to the same standard as a non titlist.

Though why was Fury 30st other than cheating and drug binge. Oh well.

Haha, why would you want to see AJ vs Dubois?! Wilder I understand and want. Miller I'd like to see just as much as I would've liked to see when he was jucied to the gills.

"This is going to be a great night of fights"
Oh I didn't realise there were no good fights or fighters on the card that you're interested in. Jai Opetia and Bivol are too of my favourite fighters to watch at the moment. Everything else on the card is gravy. I'm sorry if you don't feel that way

You kidding me LOL, you call yourself a boxing fan?
Yes, which as a boxing fan allows me to see there are good fights and fighters on that card...

Does Wilder vs Parker not intrigue you? What does Wilder have left after the beatdowns from Fury and Parker would easily be the 2nd best fighter Wilder has faced. What as Paker got left after that clobbering from Joe Joyce... Lyndon Arthur has no chance against Bivol but he does have a brilliant jab, how will Bivol suss him out and put on a clinic..

To act like there aren't any good fights on the card, pull the other one.

Hows about you take AJ's **** out your behind and call it what it is.... its a complete cop out.

Absolute AJ fan boy.

Yawn. Is that all you got to say? I expect the fact you keep harping on about AJ you're probably still in disarray after Fury got made to look like a mug by a debutant.

I wont be tuning in thats for sure.

I'm sure the Saudi's are absolutely devastated they wont have Freeb0b's viewership. How will they manage to put the event on?

Always good to talk boxing with people, look forward to you posting in the thread. Maybe not try and come across like an little angry keyboard warrior though, yeah? We all enjoy the same sport.

Edit: Just an FYI so if you really want to get the fanboy call right. Accuse me of being a Floyd, Pernell or Lenox fanboys. I'll argue that they could all walk on water before I admit their faults. AJ just happens to be my favourite UK heavyweight.

Bit odd to have boxing on Thursday due to the F1 but Shakur is now a 3 weight champion. I do still want to see him in with a proper known quantity but he is certainly on his way to be a proper top pound for pound fighter

I really hope Usyk does the business on him....

No doubt that they'll end up with a rematch(s), so that's likely them tied up for the year and the IBF belt gone after the first fight. It actually makes these fights in December a little more meaningful now, Hrgovic would fight the next contender for the IBF belt, that could be AJ or Parker if they get through their fights. If Wilder beats Parker and AJ gets through Wallin, does he go the Wilder match or a potential shot at a title again?

There's Zhang floating around as well not sure where he sits with the IBF. At last, the rumblings of some movement in the division again.

It's a shame Zhang isn't on the card. I still think he was hard done by not getting the decision agaisnt Hrgovic and the way he made the fights with Joyce, which I thought would be competitve, so one sided, he deserves to be at the top of the mix. He's going to be avoided though, none of them want to risk him. All risk little reward.

Annoyingly I wouldn't get too excited about AJ vs Wilder just yet. People seem to believe the reason Wallin was picked was so that if AJ beats him he'll then be fighting Filip for the vacant IBF title. I can see the business sense in going that route to market himself as a 3 time champion but as a fan I don't really care if you're X times champion, I want to see the fights.

I am looking forward to this crop of heavyweights being over though. They've been at the top of the division for how long and have barely fought each other. If not for Fury being a cherry pick gone wrong for Wilder I genuinely don't think any of them would've fought. On our shores my eyes will be on Moses Itauma but he's a bit too fresh to really know if he'll be that guy yet. I love Fabio Wardley in the ring but I think he's great out of the ring too, knows his stuff. Interested to see how far he can go. Coming from a white collar background the fact he's made his way to British champion is remarkable as it is but I am on board for the journey. He is very similar to his stable mate Babic in that he is all action that will come undone one day but I'm here for the ride.

I don't like MMA and I especially dislike Dana White but I have a lot of respect for UFC Fans/Fighters. The fights which the fans want to see often get made but more importantly, they don't seem to value the 0 like it is in boxing. A loss shouldn't be the be all and end all in combat sports, if you're facing the best you'll lose eventually. There's no shame. But thanks to Floyd, not that I blame him for this, but fighters are scared to lose that 0 as if they wont be marketed well.

I think we fans need to stop the whole 'he's a bum' if they lose a fight when going up against their contemporaries. Even this year when I think of fights like Davis vs Garcia, Inoue vs Fulton, Spence vs Crawford or even to a lesser extent Beterbiev vs Yarde. The losers in all of those fights didn't lose any stock because of who they lost to. I wish fighters would realise a few losses don't mean your career is over as long as you're giving the fans the big fights.

Anyone watch Stevenson V De Los Santos? Don't waste your time if you didn't.

Stevenson ran away for the whole fight and then claimed to be ill at the end of it but wouldn't say what was wrong. On first viewing I don't think he even deserved the win but Top Rank...

I watched it after my posting saying he was on way to being a pound for pound star... Then I watched it... I still believe that Shakur has all the skills required and he passes the eye test but that fight was atrocious and he was lucky to get the win. Absolute stinker. I may be making a really wild leap but I think Shakur knows something the rest of us don't in the sense of he doesn't like to engage with fighters with power. I know no fighter wants to get chin-checked but I have a nagging suspicion he may be chinny relative to his contemporaries. I Could be wrong and it could've just been a bad style match up of two southpaw counterpunchers with neither wanting to force the action or just a bad night at the office but it's certainly taken a bit of shine off of him, in my eyes.

That 23/12 card is a bit juicy, cracking night of fights.

Yeah I'm looking forward to it. Both Wallin and Parker have a huge chance to mess up everyone plans. My only fear is how much is this PPV going to cost us
