Have to be honest, i love what they did with the whole fights in the matchroom garden. If I had the spare cash I would've loved to have gone to one of those events

Wasn't cheap though.
 
Yep, that'll be a watch in the morning job. Good luck to Smith, he needs it. Should be a decent fight but the way Smith was in his shell against a smaller Canelo doesn't fill me with tremendous confidence.

I would not use that Clenelo fight as a metric for his performance tonight, Most of his opponents go in their 'shell' when fighting him.
Hopefully it is a decent fight, Good luck to him!

I think the only boxer (not that I know boxing that well) who could beat him (at a fair weight) is Bivol on points surely? Of course the chances are that 'Biev knocks him out because he has the power to do so.

Bivol vs beterbiev is the best fight that can be made in any division in 2024 in my opinion.

Unless Beterbiev has aged since his last fight, I think Smith does well to hear the final bell. And I rate him as a fighter. I'm saying stoppage rounds 9-12

I just don’t rate his chances all that highly tonight. But it’s just the way he let a smaller man in Canelo bully him so much. He can use weight being an excuse but ultimately he let a smaller man put it on him.

Though, Father Time waits for no man and he can turn up at any point and Smith is a sound fighter technically so I wouldn’t be shocked if he pulls the upset of but I think it’s fair to say it’s an upset if he wins.

All depends on the first few rounds. I’m expecting a usual affair for Beterbiev where he starts slow and builds up activity throughout the bout a lot of early body work with a KO/TKO before the championship rounds 8-10.

I’m desperate for the Beterbiev vs Bivol fight but if Smith ruins those plans then he deserves the payday himself.

My Prediction: a cagey couple of opening rounds with Beterbiev walking and breaking down Smith with his high guard and finishes the fight with clubbing right hand in round 8.

I do think there is a chance either man gets dropped early due to ring rust but I’m expecting a competitive bout… until it isn’t.

I can't see anything other than a Beterbiev win and I reckon he will knock Smith out. None of the Smith brothers have the real smarts to be at top level and I'm not convinced he carries power to beat Beterbiev. The only question is regarding Beterbievs odometer. H's 38 and that last fight vs Yarde was hard. He took a lot of shots. Smith never turned up against Canelo and arguably his biggest win was against a fading George Groves. Hearn thinks they are getting Beterbiev at the right time but I think he's probably got one in him before a fight with Bivol.
