Yeah there's that too, Fury is a tricky customer when he's at his best, and for Usyk to land as often has he did is quite something.
Well I left my brother in law earlier (ex boxer). Who basically said/says Fury has really good footwork.

IMO just throw some punches. As that was ******!

Apart from flight, highlight of the night was seeing the legend Roberto Duran looking darn good for his age. Showing age now lol
Watched some of his classic fights a while back.

I'm not sure tonight's fight will go down as a classic but it will definitely be one of the highlights of Usyks career for sure.

I can understand why carrying more weight adds power, but surely that weight should be muscle. Fury just looked fat.

Compare Fury to Ali, Holyfield, Tyson and he looked awful. Admit I know very little about boxing, so please feel free to explain.

I think it was 8-4 being generous and 9-3 if I think I’m being honest.

Fury was strong in 3 and 4 but other than that it was all Usyk for me. Whenever Tyson had success, Usyk immediately retaliated.

Good fight though. Usyk has cemented himself as the best heavyweight of this generation.

the AI had it 6 points

Punches thrown/landed and power = AI 6

Anyway, I thought it was going to be closer but after R5/6 can’t remember which one it was all usyk and he really started to dominate. It was Fury at the start then bit of both - commented at the time it was starting to heat up which it was but the tide turn completely.

Don’t think we will get a third - don’t think it warrants it either to be honest would be more of the same. With the same outcome. Even if it was closer than the first bout.

Hell KO Dubois again if that goes ahead.

It can work wonders for a fighter if they can use it, especially if there’s a lot of holding and bullying, and they’re fast (remember Ruiz jr vs AJ)

Problem is Usyk is so fit and has such good ring IQ that he wouldn’t let Fury tie him up, not letting him use his weight.

Usyk is also one of the most aggressive fighters there is, by constantly moving forward and landing shots through fury’s defence, all of that added weight just slows Fury down and wears him out.

I agree, the outcome is correct but the scoring continues to make a mockery of the sport. It happens all the time yet the sport just seems to accept it as being normal which I’ll never understand.
I really struggled to score the first 5 rounds so I do kind of get that this was tough for the judges but yeah you’re right, the judging is usually a joke, as shown in the Dave Allen fight that seemed far more clear cut

So many tears from Fury, such a sore loser.

Gotta love Usyk, so cool, so many skills, no nonsense, how it should be.

Also agree with the result scoring did leave a lot to be desired. Probably 2 rounds up to Usyk in my eyes. For someone who looks half Fury’s size he continues to press throw many punches and do more than hold his own. Crazy really, the best to do it.

He might well feel robbed, all of the TNT sport commentators / panel had Fury up by a couple of rounds

It was a draw at best for me.

Usyk is awesome though.

The current system of getting a winner out of a boxing match without a KO is so outdated compared to other sports.

People are forgetting that Usyk is the champion, you need to win the belts from the champion. Fury didn't do anywhere near enough to do that after rewatching it again this morning. Scores were maybe slightly generous to Usyk, not enough for Fury to win in my opinion.

Great night of boxing and I'll look forward to the AJ V Fury cash out fight the summer of 2025

Judges at the end of fights should be made to discuss there scorecards live and explain why certain rounds were given a certain way because the cards were a joke

As for the fisher result thats diabolical

i would counter that and say not enough for a Usyk win either. No one really wants a draw but that would have probably been the 'fair result' however i had Fury up by a round or two.

If we see the same focused Fury then I don't think AJ stands a chance.
