If you consider Fury's career its not really that special. I'd say his pinnacle was beating Klitschko away in Germany. It was a brilliant performance but since then all we've really seen are the two Wilder wins which are arguably wins against a one dimensional fighter. Since then he's been almost lost to an MMA fighter and failed twice vs Usyk. Sure he's made a fortune but really he's not got a better resume than Joshua.

Having said that I do think it's time him and Joshua step away and let some of the younger talent get opportunities. I suspect that this is a ploy by Fury to extract more money from Hearn who is desperate to rinse one last payday from AJ. I'm not really bothered as I think there are plenty better heavyweight fights to be made this year.
