It's showing my phone should be 4G ready but I tried to test it with a recent PAYG EE sim from my wife and does not show as 4g

Should the EE sim be 4G ready or need activation?

Phone is LG F240K - Band 3 and 8. I 've tried selecting from the service menu (was on automatic)

Looks like the Redmi Note 2 is for me, the extra CPU speed and 16gb storage worth £30?...

I just read in the z5 thread that the Redmi Note 2 has a super fast camera operation it was up there competing with s6 iphone 6 and z5's just to be in that group is kudos enough imho, now is the moment Chinese phones have hit mainstream imo.

Nothing we don't already know really but still a good little review, how are you guys finding battery life as they mark it down for that.

Reading around it seems many are pointing towards software being the culprit so if these are now shipping with MIUI 7 then it should be better!

Some really interesting stuff in this thread. My 2 year 5S contract is about to end but I'm considering going SIM only, however I love gadgets and not sure I can handle having the same phone for much longer.

How come the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 is on Pre-Sale on Gearbest but available on Oppomart? Is it because Gearbest are waiting fro stock.

I was 99% sure I was going to get a Lenovo K3 Note but for the same price the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 has better specs so Im going to get that one.

EDIT: Also is the one from Oppomart the International version?
