I love it, battery life is mental is't as smooth as silk, the sound is very good and the screen for media is awesome, for the money I don't think you could buy a better phone.

Been reading some reviews looks like a great phone did they add fast charge to yet? Which version of android is it running?

I've a Note 3. Really great phone! The notification led is white, and not rgb. I'd describe it has a medium+ brightness. Ill try to get a photo for you in daylight. I feel like I paid more attention to my old OnePlus One's Led as I had it programmed for different colours for different apps.
That would be really helpful if you could grab a photo of the light on, thanks :)

What network providers are people on? I'm looking to leave EE and tempted to try GiffGaff but according to https://willmyphonework.net/ Mi5 isn't compatible to their 4G frequencies.

Interestingly GG are supposed to use o2's network which according to that site, is 4G compatible. What to believe?

I am hoping to upgrade to something like the Redmi Note 5 (unless I've got the phone mixed up due to their naming convention) when it is released.

I was with 3 previously but struggled for signal when at work. I may have to exclude GG then as not even the Note 4 is supported by them by looks of things and I'm guessing they'll use similar frequencies.

My parents are both on Giff Gaff (which I believe is on O2 which is the only provider they get _any_ signal for at home) and get 4G no problem. My Dad is using a Redmi Note 4 (Global edition) and my Mum a Redmi 4 (Global Edition). I suspect it is saying that the Mi5 is not compatible for 4G if it doesn't have Band 20 (800MHz).

edit: a quick Google shows that the Mi5 doesn't have band 20 even in the Global edition and that GG does indeed mainly use that band for 4G (with band 3 (1800Mhz) possibly being used in some limited areas as well).

So if I'm understanding it right, until I get my new phone (Note 5 Pro) I can either stay with EE who support band 3 which my mi5 can use, or I can switch to O2 who also support band 3. GG is ruled out as they only support band 20.

What is the difference between this and this? They seem to be the exact same phone but with £30 difference. The 'Pro' which AliExpress sells for around the same price, seems to have exactly the same specs?

Redmi 5 Plus came today. Unboxing should be on my channel later today (link in sig, sub if you haven't already ;) ) and it will likely be on the MM in a week or two!
