**** The Official Chinese Phones Thread ****

So OnePlus 11 imported for $700 plus shipping so around £600. Might go for it but got a bad feeling about the camera.

that isnt the one with global rom is it ? its the Chinese version ? I tend to stay away from them even though you can change to English still has Chinese stuff untill you can either buy them already flashed with global rom or global rom is available to flash yourself

Last phone I bought was the Xiaomi mi11 Chinese version and I flashed the EU ROM nothing released since has really interested me they seem to have gone stale and the mi 11 still running great

Yep none global. There's an app you can download from play store where you can flash OxygenOS. I did that for my 7T.

I might need a new phone soon. Any recommendations under £250 with big screen. My current one is a Xiaomi redmi note 8 pro and it's been great but dropped it a few times and starting to see lines across the screen.

Also is 5g worth having?

Makes no sense. Even a 5W charger would charge it to 100%

I thought that but I experience the same with my Poco F3.

The only charger in my house that will consistently charge it to 100% is the one that came with the phone. We have other chargers in the house and sometimes they'll charge the Poco to 100%, other times it'll stop around 80%.

Been using a Realme for well over a year now, the latest Android update really killed its performance by about 25% as the original run of the Realme 8 5G phones only have 4GB RAM and so, whilst I can highly recommend Realme phones for 165quid and below, I am looking at a new phone with a bit more grunt and much more ram :)

My Poco X3 has randomly started rebooting and today stopped recognising the USB port; I cannot charge it or file transfer anything off it, so I might change it.

Must haves:

Dual SIM (non negotiable)
Decent storage
Good (if not flagship) camera

What does £300 or thereabouts buy? Overall I've had Xiaomi for a few years and been generally happy.

EDIT

Looks decent enough? More than I wanted to spend tbh

You can get the POCO X5 Pro 256GB for £329.

Red magic 8 pro. £549, powerhouse! First charge, over 14 hours screen on time over one and a half days! 36 hours!

Good rear camera, terrible front camera lol. Superb phone

I received my new Vivo X Note yesterday. Official Chinese Rom.

Taken a while to configure it properly to a decent Google / UK standard. Fortunately Google installed really easily using the GMail method.

I've been able to use Google Pay, banking apps and everything else I'm used to without issue.

The phone is an absolute beast. The unboxing experience makes a bit of a mockery out of better known brands too.

Looking for a new phone guys. Getting a bit bored of my Poco f3. I've had the F1 then the f2 and coming up 2 years for the f3. All have been good and cheap (£300ish)

What next?

No it's not out yet but great specs apparently 5000mah battery,SD 8 gen 2,wireless charging, based on the K60 Pro .I currently have the F3 too so will be a good upgrade.

Yeah I googled it. The only thing I felt was missing from the f3 is wireless charging.

My birthday is shortly after release so I've told the wife that's what I want :D
