**** The Official Chinese Phones Thread ****

Was just about to order Xiaomi MI4C but just wondering about 4g bands. Can anyone shed any light on the following. I'm with BT and it has the following bands for 4G-
4G from BT uses the following network frequencies:
o 800 MHz (0.8 GHz)
o 1800 MHz (1.8 GHz)
o 2600 MHz (2.6 GHz)

Xiaomi has listed following bands, not sure if it's compatible, which one should I be looking for? Cheers

FDD-LTE: Bands 1(2100 MHz)/ Bands 3(1800 MHz)/ Bands 7(2600 MHz)
TDD-LTE:Bands 38(TD 2600) / 39(TD 1900) / 40(TD 2300) / 41(TD 2500)
 
My OH is after a new phone, her current N5 is getting long in the tooth for her. She currently likes the look of either Oneplus X or N5X

Just out of interest is there any Chinese phones that could be recommended, this is a list of stuff she requires lol.

5"-5.2" Screen Max
Very good battery life
Very good build quality (as good as N5/metal)
Not to heavy
Good camera (As good as N5)

Have I messed up here?

Ive ordered a Redmi note 3 32gb, but I now realize they have different variants. The one I've ordered has the Hellio X10 cpu.

Should I have chosen differently?

Might still have time to change before it ships.

THe X10 is a very good chip but the Snapdragon 650 version offers around 50% the performance. but it does cost around £40 more. It also comes with Micro SD, better camera and screen.

Thats what i have did you get it from CPW for £150 ;)
My problem with cheap chinese phones is the warranty ( sending back to china months without phone) unless you buy it from Amazon.With the P8 if anything goes wrong just take it back to CPW.
I bought it and sold my Oneplus X which was a really nice phone but the P8 just oozes quality and everything works out of the box.
With the Oneplus i had to hunt down apps it never had and even had to pay for a BT app to get it to play nice with my car.
