Just updated mine to 7.3.2.0 via an OTA seems fine up to now.

Just to update that message my phone turned up today out of the blue so all good!
My first impressions of the redmi note 3 are positive my only concerns are the screen doesn't seem to automatically adjust its brightness very well like my lg g2 did and it won't connect at 4G so far on Vodafone which I hadn't thought would be a problem....but I haven't input any APN settings as data seems to be working fine via 3G.

4G will only work on 3 and EE as far as I know, mine is usually on 3G most of the time and it is pretty fast.

Any way to add shortcuts/widgets to your home screen to direct message people with any messaging app?
I thought this was an Android feature?

If you press and hold the left hand button, it will pop up move apps, widgets, wallpaper, effects. You should be able to sort it from there.

OK so I've tried the Nilkin case here and it has no protection along the top and bottom of the phone, a fundamental design fault imo. I've also tried, one from AliExpress that was rated well but it kept coming apart and the buttons would often fall out.

done that, disabled wifi password but getting authentication error. Shows up now and again in Wifi list!

Nice to hear. It seems solid and the standby on battery is mental, left mine on last night it was on 83% got up at 8 and it was still the same.

It is, I love mine, 5th Xiaomi phone I have owned, the rest apart from one have been sold on and are still going strong.

Is there any way to integrate Facebook into the contacts so you get pictures for all your contacts?
Or do speed dials?
