does that do your 7900?

you could probably do better if you went for a custom setup and mixed components, I suppose it depends whether you're happy to chop and change manufacturers.

I'd probably say the swiftech is the best kit, other wise I'd have a bit of aqua extreme, some dangerden and some swiftech and maybe a thermochill rad.

Start another thread for folks to spec you up so this thread doesn't get full of wc argument.

Just wanted something cheap and easy to fit.Seems to fit the bill. Not bothered about GFX yet just nice cooling on the conroe. :)

Anyone tried overclocking these on the stock heatsink, is it the same old one they always supply and is it any worth keeping around at all?

Not really advisable I wouldn't thought if overclocking,

Intels stock cooling has always been pap IMO.

Maddness, do you mean that the Northbridge needs a fan or just a new heatsink? (ie would one of the zalman northbridge coolers work with it?)
How loud is the stock Northbridge cooler btw?
Thanks.

The Stock NB heatsink is silent cause its passive.
Wouldn't of thought the zalman would be any better than the stock.

He said the NB could do with active cooling this means a fan or better still water.

Changed to the dfi and am currently at 9x 400 3,6ghz on 1.375 v
silent air. :D

ONly thing I needed to do was to mount a 92mm over the NB for extra cooling using a zalman fan bracket.

Will postsome screenies soon

I am running my DFI at 400 x 9 3.6ghz no problem
Having said that I have to use a 4:3 divider on the ram. This is now using my 2 gb gskill. :)

Its a lot warmer today and the cpu has been creeping up to 69c
Think I may have to go water cooling.

The NB is around 41c though with a 92 mm fan on a zalman fan bracket hovered over it.
