Socaddict said:right, just got my order confirmed as shipped. Should have the CPU today, and the rest of the system tomorrow. So expect some serious OCing over the weekend
<maddness> said:hes got as much chance of hitting 500 as you have 4Ghz lol
im only kidding, good luck Socaddict
Durzel said:I've got 3.6Ghz so far on 1.4v vCore (1.38v actual), with nothing else changed on an E6700. This is on air cooling with an Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro, using the stock thermal compound.
The above has been dual Prime stable for 8 hours so far.
I think 4Ghz 24/7 will be difficult on air to be honest.
nick_000000 said:Yeah saw that but I need some of the jumperfree settings details like what are the best ram freqs to use and what about voltages?
Thanks!

fan_83 said:very sadly got ny 6400 and ds3 up to 3.44ghz.. 430fsb..
i had to put my vcore up to 1.5. i think i am limited due to overheating. my artic cooling freezer pro doesn;t seem to be able to cope with thea heat increase.
may have to get a zlaman circular cpu cooler
fan_83 said:using everest and running dual prime snall fft its at 66-68 atm, i will try to get it stable using less volts...
but i was targeting for 3.6
fan_83 said:well i tried to redo my whole oc again..
i got it stable at 400 with a 1.4 adn the rest on auto..
raising it to 415, i need to rasie it to around 1.43 and i get a problem
its running dual prime merrily then it auto reboots after about 1-3 hours,
am i right in assuming its due to *** overheating problem in either the cpu, nb or sb..
at least thats what i gather instead of prime error..
will be getting my zm nbf47 tomorrow, will swap the nb, put a fan on the sb and reset my ac7 pro..
can someone please confirm the temp on *** sb.. my reading shows high 60s
it seems weird that any speed over 430 will require vcore of 1.5...
i guess my cpu is limited to under 430 or do i need to raise the voltages on otehr settings?
This makes no sensefan_83 said:same post but cleared up spelling nad use full terms instead of shortforms

at least thats what i gather instead of prime error asi there is not error reported but jsut a reboot..
i will be getting my zm nbf47 tomorrow, will swap the northbridge, put a fan on the southbridge and reinstall my ac7 pro..
can someone please confirm the temp on the southbridge.. my reading shows high 60c using an external probe

i guess my cpu is limited to under 430 or do i need to raise the voltages on other settings?
gam3r said:Would you guys say stable 100% 2.8GHz overclock on an E6300 on stock volts on everything apart from ram is decent?
Jimbo said:My E6600 @ 3ghz no extra voltage increases and its rock stable..
I know its not much but Im proud of it lol. Didnt used to overclock much in the past, but not doing so on the conroe is a crime in my eyes.
matt1 said:I've got an E6600 and thought I've spent too much, thinking of dropping back to an E6300/6400 to save a little money. Ideally the E6300 to save the most, but I'm looking at 428FSB to get 3.0GHz and 457FSB to get 3.2GHz, it this realistic with the Asus P4W DH - I've not really seen many results with an Allendale/P5W combination. The E6400s multi would sure help but as I said, I'd prefer to go for the cheaper model.
