Sorry made a mistake posting lol, It is running at 4Ghz (20x200)
the CPU Voltage was wat i meant and is at 1.362
If i went to set the VVT to around 1.8 as you suggest this is flagged up as red text is that right?, auto is shown as 1.26V in the right hand column.
Oh blimey, I said VTT there didn't I, I meant just PLL at 1.8v, sorry about that.
PLL should be manually set to 1.8v, raise it a couple of notches if you need to, but no more than 1.9v.
QPI/VTT should be at 1.1v stock, you may find you need to take that upto around 1.210v, not much more than that should be necessary at 4GHz really. You're ok to play around a bit more here though, it's the PLL voltage you habe to be very careful with.
I am very sorry for the confusion, I got the acronyms confused, I'm new a overclocking Nehalem based cpu's myself ..well as of launch week anyway. I am used to S775 and AMD's. I'm glad you took note of the red flagging![]()
Ive currently set Load Line Calibration to disabled am i correct in doing this? or should i enable it to deal with "vdroop" etc?
Also is there any benefits from changing the PCI-Express settings from the standard 100 to anything higher?
1.1What is the stock vcore for these chips in the BIOS?
