***The Official Core i7 Overclocking Thread***

Easy has since switched to a DO, at 4ghz my qpi was at 1.31250.

Yeah just to clear things up

Now on a D0

Vcore 1.3
QPI 1.35
Vdimm 1.64
Pll 1.88

These settings are just down and dirty vcore boosting...:p

Now I am convinced I had a dodgy install on win 7 as this is more than enough voltage for the mobo and chip

Now I have a new install and will Blend again overnight at these settings..Fingers crossed it was a driver issue.

Here is my 8 hour Prime95 Blend.

Asus P6T SE
Core i7 920 2667mhz @ 4005mhz @ 19*211, 1.288 vCore in CPU-Z
Corsair XMS3 1600mhz @ 1691mhz

BIOS Settings, am I alright having these mostly at Auto?!

Start of Priming:

End :)

What were the final voltage settings you had to use easy?

It was late last night :p

When I have run for 24hrs I'll pop in the bios and report back.

I turned off LLC though and cut the QPI vcore down to just over 1.3v

Vcore was 1.295 IIRC

Pll I left at 1.88v

Ioh/ich 1.2v

I'm convinced something went wrong with windows and going from a C0 to a D0....At one point I thought I had a bad D0 but turned out its quite a nice one.

Loving the temps though :)

Though ignore the 1.300 on qpi, later upped that to 1.31250 after having a few issues with LinX and IBT, only other issue is that it runs a bit warm on core0 for my liking, 76-71-72-70.

Ok guys, I'm sorry for this but this thread seems to be the place for all the i7 knowledge ;).

So, quick and dirty question, I'm currently at 4GHz running only 1.20V through the core (can't mind other voltages off hand, but they're not above spec) and one core is hitting 80 degrees while under full load in LinX... is this too high to be safe? My cooling is as good as it's getting right now, so will leave the 4GHz push if I can't get it safely :).

Cheers guys (and Easy ;)).
