The *Official* Crisys Thread

I don't understand how anyone can believe that is an in-game shot. Just look at the leaves on the right. They are way too detailed to be Crysis. And as Kipper said, check the properties, it was taken in 2003. And I doubt that is a shot from Far Cry although its been awhile since I played it.

lmao, i thought they were all joking at first. COME ON PEOPLE!

Rofl i cant believe people actually thought that was ingame rendering...lmao

mav the way you were stating how the soft shadows could have been better on the tree i honestly thought you were joking but after reading on a bit...i mean seriously lol.

Edit: And could the OP change the spelling of Crisys to Crysis, i know its picky but for some reason i find it quite unnerving lol.

He did change the spelling, but the main title cant be changed.

I think crysis' infiltration marketing technique is working. They slowly release comparison shots through all types of media including forums getting people hooked on the graphics. Eventually people start getting confused as to which is real and which is not ^^

God, read the posts saying those gfx ain't good enough to be real life, just lol.

Edit, funniest thing I've read in ages.

ahh yes, i was thinking about the tree outside my house, and in the uk most trees are built proper solid and not like those skinny ones at the beach

From Mr.Mav :D

Oh god, not another "official" thread about a game that isn't out for months  Call me grumpy but can't we just use the numerous other threads about Crysis for this kind if thing then have a decent thread when it's out and people can actually discuss the game with conviction?

And what kind of carppy official thread gets the spelling of the game wrong. Jesus. :D

Amen and if you actually read the thread its even more shocking, people actually complain about the graphics on a real picture rofl....

:D

It even says what digital camera was used to take it ;) .

Thanks Mav for that, got many a 'lol' from me :D

"the details drops heavily though half way up the river and the trees at the back are just a blur"

That's called depth of field :D

Definately a Crysis screenshot. The leaves have way too much photosynthesis going on there, and the poorly rendered swimmers, sheesh, don't get me started on them.
